This mid-century modern home in Portland, Oregon, underwent a comprehensive remodel by THESIS Studio, transforming it into a light-filled urban sanctuary. This vignette showcases the thoughtful details that define the home's new aesthetic, with vintage-inspired wooden furniture taking center stage. Complemented by curated accessories and lush houseplants, the space exudes a warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly captures the essence of mid-century modern design.

This HouseHome renovation was a full down-to-the-studs transformation that brought a dated 1970s home into modern luxury living. We raised ceilings, restructured layouts, and redesigned every space with a fresh, contemporary perspective.
The kitchen was completely reinvented—elevated from its original condition to a sleek, sophisticated space with improved flow, modern finishes, and a bright, open feel ideal for both everyday living and entertaining.
The bathroom received an equally dramatic redesign, anchored by a bold Monstera feature wall that adds artistic depth. To balance the small footprint, we paired white walls, black penny tile flooring, and warm brass accents, creating a fresh yet timeless, ultra-contemporary look that feels both airy and dramatic.
Throughout the dining areas, we enhanced natural light and architectural volume, introducing refined textures, modern furnishings, and a cohesive palette that ties the entire home together.
The result is a fully reimagined residence—stylish, expressive, and effortlessly modern—showcasing HouseHome’s signature approach to luxury renovation and contemporary interior design.

Custom designed concrete steps and walkway with rock-salt finish and inset landscape lighting. Placement of plant materials with differing colors to contrast and create cottage-style influenced upland Hawaii garden with Hibiscus, Monstera, Baby Tears, Tree of Heaven and Anthurium, Dwarf Ixora and Mexican Heather. Cooler color palette to blend with surrounding landscape of downtown Waimea

This dramatic wallpaper features highly stylized white and gray flowers and Monstera plant leaves against a bright white background. It's perfect for a clean, modern look. Available in both removable peel-and-stick and permanent wallpapers. Printed with child-safe inks.

An area that was dirt and weeds that we made a intonation beautiful oasis. Plants include Neoreglias and Aechmeas, Heliconias, Philodendrons, and Monstera. We also finished off with the stepping stone and Brown River Rock. Very low maintenance design.

Your outdoor area needs to have as much interest as the inside. Create rooms to view and keep the eye moving. Corten steel water feature adds another texture and colour to this tranquil garden.

Can you spot the jungle?⠀This is a DIY garden I designed conceptually and that was executed by the client based on my observations of what they like/not and their style of living, putting them in touch with the relevant suppliers I knew. What I love best though is their beautiful execution and loved the collaboration that occurred throughout the project and their continued dedication to its maintenance. ⠀
