Inspiration for a contemporary home design remodel in San Francisco

J Designs Created this turnkey ski chalet located in Vail Colorado is a house full of primary colors and unique custom pieces. The house is laid out over five stories with a vertical feel and a central staircase connecting everything. To break up the thoroughfare we added a funky striped runner that leads you through the spaces and adds a unique pop of texture and color. Throughout the house each space is full of custom designed furniture pieces by J Designs, mixed with an extensive art collection and a stunning view. + The original architecture and finishes of the chalet were by Interior Design Hall of Fame member Orlando Diaz-Azcuy. J Designs worked to create spaces that were full of color but also played nicely with the white oak paneled walls and the slate floors. + The great room was transformed into the heart of the house, with lounging, dining and a nice area for playing games and relaxing on a custom curving bench, the perfect place for watching skiers come down the mountain through the full height windows overlooking Vail Mountain. + I was inspired by the colors of the bathrooms which helped to create cohesiveness in the bedrooms and to determine the color palette for each room. + In the lower level we transformed an unused workout room into a movie room that has a big enough sofa for the whole family with extra floor cushions for any guests.

A luxury farmhouse estate with a wrap-around porch and expansive scenic acreage, featuring white siding, black windows, and board-and-batten details. The property includes a barn, landscaped grounds, and outbuildings, highlighted by a small bridge over a garden pond. Designed as a modern farmhouse retreat, this exterior blends rustic charm with timeless elegance.

Contemporary custom home theater in Frisco, TX. A/V and fiber-optic starfield ceiling provided by Audio Video Innovation. Construction completed by Reynold's Signature Homes. Furniture provided by McCabe's Theater and Living. Dark carpet and walls maximize the view of the screen during bright sceens, and numerous loads of Lutron lighting allow the perfect lighting conditions for any occasion from a football game to a popcorn break.

This lower second kitchen in this 4 story townhouse is a great place to hang with friends or spend the afternoon baking and hanging with the kids. The beverage frig at the end of the peninsula gives easy access for kids. The custom cabinetry and back splash are warm and unimposing which let's it quietly sit at the side during movie showings and fun friend get togethers. Our clients wanted this space to be a play area for their girls. They wanted it to be a fun area where their kids could run, throw balls, do gymnastics and zombie tag, and not have to worry about breaking anything. They weren't using the fireplace so we covered it with a chalkboard for the girls to draw on. Custom Home Theater The creative minds behind Theater Monster put their heads together to develop an inspired and unique home theater for the residents of this particular home. They wanted to design a rustic theater that their client would be proud to show to guests, so it was a must to think outside the box. After conducting extensive research, Eldorado Stone was selected to meet their design needs and Autumn Leaf RoughCut was applied to the main walls. Additionally, they incorporated further visual appeal by constructing a modern, rolling tongue and groove ceiling to resemble a sound wave. Surprisingly, the use of architectural stone veneer in this space didn’t interfere with the quality of sound throughout the home theater. The rough edges of the stone helped to break up the sound waves emitted from the sound system and resulted in an even emission of sound in this space. Smooth walls typically cause refraction of sound unless heavily insulated, so the stone did double-duty by not only looking aesthetically appealing but also acting as natural insulation. Considering this was the first time the professionals at Theater Monster veered from more standard materials and utilized stone in a theater, they couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Bring in the Bennett crew to get the job done! Under the expert guidance of Project Manager, Anthony Mulligan, and Designer, Sarah McDonald, this basement has been transformed into the ultimate entertainment area. We started with a spacious home theater which is the perfect place for immersing oneself in the ultimate movie- watching experience! The latest built-in surround sound with speakers from floor to ceiling provide a cinematic home audio experience like never before. Just outside the double doors, you are greeted by a luxurious home bar. This area exudes elegance and charm with the exquisite Cambria Skara Brae countertops, hand finished and distressed alder doors, and herringbone patterned tile. The custom walnut framed mirror adds the perfect final touch to the space. Just around the corner, you’ll find the convenience half bath. No more wet trips through the house from the pool! This strategically placed half bath is not only practical but also beautifully designed, ensuring a quick break during movie marathons or poolside gatherings. A family with kids who likes games, craft projects, reading, and hanging out with friends desired to transform an unfinished basement into an interactive space. The snack kitchen provides the perfect break time from a movie or art session. Color and artwork were incorporated into art niches and accents. The inset TV area is designed so the doors can be closed while not in use to reveal artwork.
