During the design process it grew to having a living space above the studio, which grew to having a small house attached to the studio forming a compound. At this point it became clear to the client; the project was outgrowing the neighborhood. After re-evaluating the project, the live / work compound is currently sited in a natural protected nest with post card views of Mount Sopris & the Roaring Fork Valley. The courtyard compound consist of the central south facing piece being the studio flanked by a simple 2500 sq ft 2 bedroom, 2 story house one the west side, and a multi purpose guest wing /studio on the east side. The evolution of this compound came to include the desire to have the building blend into the surrounding landscape, and at the same time become the backdrop to create and display his sculpture. “Jess has been our architect on several projects over the past ten years. The peeks of container throughout the home are a nod to its signature architectural detail. Bringing the outdoors in was also important to the homeowners and the designers were able to harvest trees from the property to use throughout the home. Natural light pours into the home during the day from the many purposefully positioned windows.

Contemporary Victorian Charm. Inspired by the client's 1938 bungalow and love of Victorian era décor, this project merged period pieces with contemporary colors and accessories, creating a cozy, inviting space - perfect for relaxing or entertaining. A beautiful inverted camel back sofa tufted in peacock blue pays homage to the old, while a sleek, glass waterfall table and zigzag multi-colored drapery panels add a sophisticated, modern flare. Round leather ottomans double as additional seating and a multi-color oriental rug ties it all together. Bright pink custom florals lend a touch whimsy to this adorable, eclectic living area.

Inspiration for a mid-sized transitional formal dark wood floor living room remodel in Chicago with a stone fireplace, gray walls and a standard fireplace

This new home is inspired by the Colonial architecture found in the region. Situated on a stunning site bordering wooded conservation land with towering oak and beech trees, the connection to nature is of paramount importance. While the main body of the house adheres to historical precedent, the rear of the house and the various wings open up to the surrounding landscape with multi-purpose spaces and monumental windows. A geothermal system provides the hot water, heating and cooling.

This penthouse in an industrial warehouse pairs old and new for versatility, function, and beauty. Modern custom pine green cabinets offer plenty of storage. An extended multi-purpose island with a waterfall edge includes seating, storage and sink.

This is a Classic Greenwich Home, stone & clapboard with exquisite detailing throughout. The brick chimneys stand out as a distinguishing feature on the exterior. Aseries of formal rooms is complemented by a two-story great room and great kitchen. The knotty pine library stand in contrast to the crisp white walls throughout. Abundant sunlight pours through many oversize windows and French doors.

Masculine Meets Elegance - Sconce Lighting accenting the wood columns, satin nickel and bubble glass pendants hang over the bar, while recessed art lighting highlights the wallpaper and cabinetry shelves. The leather sofas were chosen for their form meets function. This theater was designed as an epic multi-entertainment space!
