Project 0359 was a complete backyard transformation, featuring a new deck, outdoor grill station, patio area, natural gas fire pit, and landscaping. This project was taken from idea to completion—including design, engineering, variance approvals, permitting and construction—all by PCI. The deck features Azek Timbertech Coastline decking and railing, composite trim details, and LED lighting. The grill station features Lynx appliances and beautiful stonework consisting of ashlar grey stone and blue stone counters. The patio area features bluestone pavers, ashlar grey stone walls, bluestone caps and water sills, a natural gas fire-pit feature and LED accent lighting. The landscape features reclaimed granite transitions, privacy plantings, beautiful gardens and accent lighting. A Whole House Transformation – conceived as a remodel and addition, the final design iteration for this home is uniquely multifaceted. There were structural considerations and the overall floor plan design centered on maximizing the views. Additions to this home totaled over 1,200 square feet. What was once the master suite, on the second floor, is now a teenagers bedroom. The master suite was relocated to the first floor and is now overlooking the pool, pool house and patio with panoramic views of the backyard. The front entrance closet became the new entrance for the master suite, which includes a sprawling bathroom and boutique closet. Underneath this area is the new theater and billiard room located in the lower level. A new front entrance and roof gables were added for a seamless new exterior look on the right side of the house. The new functional home office, gourmet kitchen, wainscot dining room, and laundry on the main level were taken down to the studs. A new traditional style for the home was created with new cabinetry, trim and millwork, space planning and detail. The lower level was gutted and turned into an award winning showpiece with gym, full wet bar and kitchen, wine nook, family room and game room marrying the new addition with theater and billiard area. The entire exterior stucco was taken off the home and pool house replacing it with stone, stone pillars, shakes and board and batten. The small screen deck was torn off making for expansive 3 season living with a new covered stone grill area. The patio was expanded with a stone fireplace overlooking the entire backyard and pool area. Adding to the new design were landscape features with a new concrete driveway, stone address pier light, stamped concrete walkway to the newly created front covered porch and bead board ceiling, creating an amazing first impression.

Forte Design Studios took an absolute pleasure in designing this GOLDEN NUGGET of a Powder Bath in Dragon Canyon project. The blend of gold shimmer with multifaceted quartz pendant lighting to the natural chiseled edge marble sink and warm hickory cabinet was not only the plan but the WIN! I couldn't be more happy with how the end result looks in this Mountain Modern bathroom.

This front entry was originally designed to accept a pair of centered doors with side lights. We chose to approach the entire opening as a single composition creating vertical slabs of walnut separated by ribbons of clear glass, emulating a view through a forest of trees. In order to achieve the illusion of floor to ceiling uninterrupted elements, a complex polished stainless steel framework was engineered and machined to provide the perimeter structure. The polished stainless steel framework incorporates a concealed in floor, self closing hinge for the large center pivot door. This installation incorporated a variety of materials combining engineered walnut panels, insulated glass, machined polished stainless steel and stone surround coordination. Approaching the entrance you are greeted with a multifaceted composition enticing you to enter and experience the rest of this Young & Young architectural masterpiece located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan completed in September of 2016.

This new home, perched on an incredible river overlook surrounded by nature, evokes a sense of balance between contemporary design and classical massing. A white-painted brick exterior perfectly frames large-format, black fenestration. Two-story, monumental windows bring the natural world into bedrooms above and living spaces below. This project was all about dynamic depth. Our client has a lot of passions and wanted her space to feel as integrated and multi-faceted as she is. The dark walls create a womb-like vibe, housing the multitude of artistic expressions and the abstract ceiling embodies our client's love of intrigue.

To stay within budget, we kept the existing pool but upgraded it with all new plumbing, main drain, returns and skimmers, new pool equipment, and a new finish on the pool interior. Other than the pool, everything else in the backyard was removed to make room for a new upper patio with a fire pit, hot tub/spa, barbecue, outdoor kitchen and dining area, as well as a new lower patio with custom cabana-pavilion. Connecting it all would be a spectacular backyard multi-faceted water feature. The homeowners were also delighted that during the construction process we retained and transplanted most of their property’s original mature growth trees.
