The walnut display cabinet and poker table were custom built for the room.
Inspiration for a contemporary home design remodel in Seattle

This end of the large room features a custom made game table and walnut display cabinet that houses priceless Native American artifacts. Lighting the game table was achieved by stringing wire cables under the skylight and suspending pendant lights from the cable. The comfortable chairs can be easily moved around the room as needed. The patchwork rug anchors and defines the space.

The homeowners have an amazing art collection that is accented by spot lights from a monorail system. A pendant was suspended under the skylight to illuminate the poker table. Whale baleen scales the wall to the left of the fireplace. A saturated deep pile wool rug in the seating area feels delicious to bare toes. A patchwork rug defines the game space in front of the fireplace.

Entry Floor Mural - Textured Glass Floor Tile.

This contemporary home on Lake Washington features a wall of windows with gorgeous views. The clients wanted to be able to use the room in the evening for entertaining and regular poker games. The high ceilings and large skylight placement made lighting the space a particular challenge. A monorail system was added to supplement the recessed lighting. Rich textures abound, and careful use of color complements the art rather than competing with it. Garry Hutton lounge chairs are covered in a smokey gridded corduroy, Coraggio fabric is used on the sofa. The deep piled wool rug feels luxurious underfoot.
