The room is widened utilising visual trickery. Existing furniture is re-used and new materials are natural and long lasting. This project was achieved with no electrical work required.

This paved patio project was part of a narrow, yet deep, property that presented its own set of landscape challenges. By playing with the depth of the yard, Gary Duff Designs transformed the unusual layout into a space that felt wider, more expansive and more inviting. A new cabana, complete with bocce court, and a new spacious outdoor kitchen, complete with pergola and above shade structure, resulted in a plethora of fresh entertainment options. At the end of the project, the Smithtown homeowners were left with space that was much more a resort than residence.

A custom interpretation of a classic L-shaped form, this staircase begins with a soft curve at its base, transitions across a central landing, and continues in a clean, straight run to the upper level. Nutty brown oak treads, paired with a matching handrail and box newels, create a sense of continuity with the surrounding hardwood floors. Crisp white risers introduce contrast and lightness, allowing the structure to feel open and balanced. Slender square iron balusters bring a tailored rhythm to the composition, offering a quiet counterpoint to the warmth of the wood.

We were so excited to be able to complete and photograph such a beautifully created kitchen. It took months of planning and various ideas to make this project come to life.
This kitchen was beautiful to start with so it was difficult for us to completely demolish and start from scratch, but after listening to our new clients concerns and understanding that the original kitchen floor plan was just not practical nor functional for them it was our time to shine!
Custom cabinets, wonderful lighting, beautiful quartzite, seeded glass inserts, newly stained wood floors, high quality faucets, along with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances paired perfect with Ann Sacks backsplash tiles.
