This project is a great example of how the different divisions under Provost Companies can come together to create exceptional results for this construction project in Wellesley, MA. This project consists of the initial site work including, excavating and re-grading the property to improve drainage and access. Our construction division was tasked with replacing some of the exterior siding and installing a new deck on the home. To provide more value to the client we installed waterproof taping on the top of all our joists to help prevent moisture from entering. We leave the bottom and side open so it can breathe. This prevents moisture from falling directly into the inevitable splits (specifically at the top of the joist where it will take direct rain and water infiltration) that occur in PT lumber. This wasn’t our idea, and we aren’t taking credit for it, it’s just a best practice we follow to provide more value to the client. Yes, using steel joists is a superior solution but steel is often outside of the budget. Our landscape construction team was tasked with re-grading the yard, installing a bluestone patio and fieldstone retention wall.

This Roswell basement is designed around this gorgeous bar-height Braylon Double Asterisk table. With a surfaced farm top and metal base, this table is a perfect fusion of industrial and farmhouse. This table is 108″Long, 40″Wide, and 42″High. The top is crafted out of White Oak hardwoods with a Surfaced Farm Top. It has a Standard Rustic Level and Rustic Cream finish. The top is supported by two, angled, Braylon Asterisk metal bases in a Natural Matte Low Gloss finish. A Rustic Cream tabletop like this easily transforms a dark, dated space to fresh and contemporary. The naturally occurring cathedral grain gives exquisite, unique character while not looking too rustic. These table bases were modified in size and style to accommodate the bar height. This industrial base style is comfortable for seating at any size, especially at bar height. Legroom is no issue here! The seating selection in this home enhances the modern character of the custom table. The black metal legs of the Freeman bar stool create a cohesive visual with the Natural Steel hand-welded table base. If you like this look, by selecting a hardwood stool the rustic character could easily be enhanced.

This is the first burnished solid bronze workstation sink in existence. We recently introduced bronze sinks to the market as an alternative to brass, copper, and stainless steel. Every sink we manufacture is custom-designed with the homeowners. We do not stock sinks at all. As every family is different, the efficiency of the sink should be different. This is a top mount replacement sink in our innovative workstation design we call NexGen. The ledge, instead of a step, offers significant advantages over the typical workstation sink. The lost width that occurs with other workstation sinks is recaptured, offering 34 additional square inches of bowl space on a 36" sink. The design also affords the perforated grid to sit on the bottom of the bowl in the same orientation shown in the photo. In that position, you can wash on the right and set off on the grid on the left. You can also place your colander on the grid and pour your cooked pasta without the fear of "backwash".

Because of Accoya’s modification technique it is the ideal wood for external cladding such as this. Generally, problems can occur with darker coatings on cladding, due to shrink and swell being exasperated by the solar gain. But, Accoya wood’s superior dimensional stability negates this problem and maintenance intervals are dramatically extended. The cladding needed to be aesthetically pleasing as well as highly durable in order to withstand the extreme climates in New Zealand. Accoya was also chosen due to its rot resistant benefits and its ability to deter insects in these types of environments.

Two small storage closets were removed and a wet bar installed in the entertainment center of this walk out basement. The bar is complete with refrigerator, microwave drawer, extensive storage space and an undercount sink, New carpeting and a slate tile floor replaced the existing carpeting. Two of the four walls were rebuilt due to extensive deterioration that had occurred over the years. Denali thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill looks striking against the wood siding of this residential house. Denali natural stone veneer is a high density sandstone cut into rough rectangles forming the castle rock style. The stone gets its abundance of color from the heavy mineral staining. The mineral staining occurred naturally in the quarry over time as water washed minerals between the individual layers of stone. The colors include blue, light grey, tan and brown. Denali also has a very rugged and unique texture with a mix of dimpled, smooth and wavy pieces. This stone is sold as individual pieces intended to be installed by a professional masonry contractor. If you are looking for a rustic and colorful thin stone veneer Denali is a great choice.

The Orland’s backyard showcases what picturesque Canadian scenery is all about. One of our favourite features of the Orland’s backyard is how their Trinity Inground Pool is perfectly situated at the end of their lot. The surrounding landscape and patio area, complete with Adirondack Chairs and tree stumps serving as side tables, truly invoke the look and feel of a naturally occurring landscape. The soothing look and sound of the Rock Waterfall Feature greatly contributes to this laid-back, woodsy, haven. In addition, the Full Natural Grey Granite Vinyl Pool Liner compliments the neutral, concrete decking perfectly. Guests of the Orlands will enjoy having a splash in this tranquil spot. For this project, we based our design off of the natural features that were already present in the Orland’s yard, with an end goal of creating a calming, backyard oasis.

THEME The sheer delight of the merrygo- round — an enduring symbol of childhood — is captured in this beautiful room dedicated to the carousel. The ageless joy and beauty of a classic carousel creates a magical space where anything seems possible. FOCUS Designed for two special twins, the actual carousel in the room stands almost 14-feet tall and eight-and-a-half feet wide to hold two baby cribs. Two hand-painted carousel horses (that are also reproduced in framed photos above the changing tables) complete the authentic look. Window treatments start at the center of the carousel with fabric that arches out to each window to pull together the entire room. Custom fabrics are used throughout the space, and the entrance to the attic within the room is disguised with an oversized, vintage amusement park ticket. A television is framed on the wall with a monkey on top to ensure that even modern items have a vintage feel. STORAGE An 18-foot by 12-foot wall of letter blocks creates an abstract armoire that provides storage for clothes, toys, books and other items. The center blocks create a bench seat along the wall, while freestanding blocks within the room help add to the illusion that all of the blocks in the room are actually stacked. GROWTH The wall armoire can be easily updated to accommodate growing children by removing the letters and repainting the blocks in another style. SAFETY Everything in the room is secure, but if accidental falls or slips do occur, the floor has been custom made to be soft and safe. Twofoot square floor pads created with Medium Density Fiber board and two layers of carpet padding with fabric over top, cover the floor to create the feel of walking on pillows.

This new construction custom home was built for a family on a private wooded lot in Wildwood. Surrounded by acres of forest, this home offers total privacy, while allowing for ample natural light and views of the nearby scenery. Light colors, beautiful wood, natural light, and custom tile are a design theme throughout the home. The light color palette paired with the large windows, which allow in natural light, makes the home light and bright. Beautiful wood is a feature throughout the home. Timber beams accent the main floor, extending from the kitchen, through the dining, and living rooms. The kitchen island and bathroom vanities all feature reclaimed wood paired with white ceramic sinks. A finished lower level was built for this family’s young children to have plenty of space to play. A pergola is an outdoor garden feature forming a shaded walkway, passageway, or sitting area of vertical posts or pillars that usually support cross-beams and a sturdy open lattice, often upon which woody vines are trained.[1] The origin of the word is the Late Latin pergula, referring to a projecting eave. As a type of gazebo, it also may be an extension of a building or serve as protection for an open terrace or a link between pavilions. They are different from green tunnels, with a green tunnel being a type of road under a canopy of trees. Sometimes, pergolas are confused with arbours (arbors in American English) and often, the terms are used interchangeably. Generally, an arbour is regarded as wooden bench seats with a roof, usually enclosed by lattice panels forming a framework for climbing plants; in evangelical Christianity, brush arbour revivals occur under such structures.[2] A pergola, on the other hand, is a much larger and more open structure.
