Sleek, white cabinetry with full-overlay doors and drawers provide this crisp, modern kitchen with plenty of storage. White honed Alabama marble countertops elegantly climb the backsplash. The under-mount stainless steel sink, with its polished chrome restaurant-style faucet, sits beneath the window allowing the perfect vantage point into the yard. Toilet room - small transitional gray tile toilet room idea in Los Angeles with white walls

Cloudy blue gray walls and ceiling along with charcoal gray door contrast beautifully against the white trim of this cozy master bedroom. The bed is covered in easy-breezy, washable linens in shades of deep blue-gray. Flanking the bed are a pair of handcrafted live-edge bedside table sans legs. Above each tabletop hangs an antique brass pendant c.1970. A pair of club chairs, also from the 1970s, offers the perfect place to relax or read. On the wall above the chairs hangs a brightly colored graphic painting that provides a punch of color, marrying perfectly with the watercolor that hangs above the bed. Both pieces pull the gold, orange and blue-gray tones of the room together. The modern fan above functions as art and provides air circulation. Woven blinds add texture and privacy while echoing the stain of the clear-coated hardwood floors that are original to the home. Photography by FishEye Studios

This master bedroom shows how muted colors - such as the varied family of grays & silver tones here - can made vibrant and inviting - with a punch of color (in this case, bright teal/turquoise)

Tangerine welt and a brightly colored throw pillow in orange and aqua pop against the off-white of the chenille covered sofa in this lovely living room which has been converted from an old mill. An Asian side table with beautiful fretwork detailing is finished in a high gloss coral and echoes the tangerine band of the drapery panel behind it. The glass lamp and silver vases, one filled with calligraphy brushes, sparkle next to a pair of turquoise birds which were selected for their depth of color. Photography by FishEye Studios

the bamboo is a clumping variety called Bambusa eutuldoides viridi-vittata , Asian lemon bamboo. This variety is a clumper and you do not need to contain it, however, do allow an 8'by 10' area for its ultimate growth. Bamboo does require constant maintenance and you will need to do some research for the specific variety you choose.
