Ohio Upscale White Kitchen with Black Island Most of you know us for our Country And Primitive Furniture and Kitchen Designs, but you should know that we can do other kitchen styles that are still custom, handmade and one of a kind. We have done many commercial /office projects for this client over the years in Historic buildings that they were restoring. When it came to their home which was more contemporary they wanted a kitchen that was more upscale and modern but still different, handmade and special. So this is the kitchen we came up with. White original white painted cabinets on the walls with stainless appliances, a Museum Black over red island base that looks like a "found" antique piece. The island and wall cabinets have 2 different types of granite tops. White Subway tile back splash. This kitchen was my clients vision and my capable team made it happen. This was my first time doing back lit stainless toe kicks.

Suspenders™ LED system is a delicately scaled, modular system of interconnected elements and suspended LED components. It can be configured as individual lighting sculptures or as a tiered web of infinite scope and variety. Using today’s leadingedge technology, Robert Sonneman has reimagined and greatly expanded his original Suspenders concept from the late 1980s with a lighter scale, increased capability, and wider range of precisely scaled luminaires. Because of the extensive range of possibilities offered by Suspenders, we have preconfigured a collection of arrangements that you can select as shown. You can also modify these arrangements using our configuration tables, or use them as inspiration to create your own completely custom configurations. We will continue to build upon and expand Suspenders as an openframed illumination system of innovative possibilities as we move forward.

Architect: Patrick Ahearn Architect LLC Construction: Rosbeck BuildersInteriors: Slifer Designs Photography By: Greg Premru “Rigorously symmetrical yet relaxed in shape and proportions, this house is very well executed inside and out. It feels appropriately sized for its site and is well detailed. It’s by far the best of the Shingle Style submittals.” The project is a new construction of a family compound consisting of two new houses and associated site development along South Beach. Due to the topography of the nearby dunes, the living spaces of the main and guest houses were located on the second floor in order to gain the panoramic views of the ocean and extended coastline beyond. The challenge was to create a shingle-style island vernacular architecture that did not reflect the upside-down nature of the primary living space. The inspiration was based on the desire to take a large program and break it into smaller architectural elements based on the idea that the homes could have originally been constructed in the 1920s or 1930s and then added onto over time. This concept of "implied history" is one that creates a legacy of a seaside architecture from the rich history of New England’s past, yet has evolved into how people want to live today. The Marvin products, with their hurricane-resistant capabilities, were a clear choice based on this locale. The use of the folding door systems allowed for the ease of flow from indoor to outdoor spaces in a timeless way.
