This designer client wanted an outdoor room with a classic green garden and lots of potted annuals. We were able to add the cooking fireplace and brick wall while saving the mature trees.

An Outdoor Kitchen truly becomes a social gathering area. Our most common outdoor kitchens are simply a cooking space with a built in grill and some expanded counter space. However, some kansas city outdoor kitchens also include a bar, whether raised, or counter height, a refrigerator, a set of drawers and even an outdoor kitchen with a kegerator and flat-screen tv. As a Landscape Contractor that merges old and new construction into the landscape design, it's difficult to describe, but people just want to spend time in the new area, whether at the bar of the outdoor kitchen, fire pit, patio, or covered porch. When a space becomes a large part of the homeowners' daily life, that's when I know a project has been completed with excellence.
For a space to be relaxing, it must feel easy. A quality landscape design must allow the space to feel like it flows from the adjoining room inside the home out. When accomplished correctly, the patio and outdoor living space feels like an extension of the home, or another "room" of the home and feels wrapped with fresh, low-maintenance landscaping.
Whether traditional or modern, simple, or decked-out, an outdoor kitchen becomes a wonderful hub for entertaining and outdoor living!

The beautiful quartzite countertops and Japanese linear tile mimic the deep greens in the surrounding foliage. 36" wide grill and storage provide plenty of cooking and staging space.
The mobile island, with it's cantilevered countertop, is perfectly stable despite the 225 pound countertop slab. This was achieved with a ballast inside the box combined with the industrial casters that allow the wheels to be pumped up off the deck, providing solid footing for the island.
With over 5 square feet of grill surface and a grilling shelf. a full meal can be prepared at one time, ensuring that the cook can spend time with her guests and everyone can sit down and eat together.
The dimmable recessed lighting and sconces provide illumination throughout the year that can be tuned to the mood of the party.

Beautiful Outdoor Kitchen by Fire magic with grill, fridge, stone stacked walls and black granite and fridge to complete this cooking area. The covered pergola keeps client cool during hot days!

Example of a large classic backyard concrete paver patio design in New York with a fire pit and a gazebo

The shortest distance between two outdoor kitchen points is a straight line, and our client came to us with a desire to build a line of fully loaded grills to fill the space between two patio columns. They knew exactly what grills they wanted, and with so much cooking space and a history of making food to draw a crowd, they knew they needed an adjacent bar top with seating to complement the cookers.
Leading off the lineup is the Yoder Smokers YS640s Pellet Grill, its black steel hood standing out in a sea of limestone and granite. The centerpiece of the line is the striking DCS 36" Series 7, a 5 burner gas grill tailor-made to feed a large group. Completing the trio is the Le Griddle GFE105 41" Teppanyaki Grill, its 304 stainless steel cooking surface able to provide superior heat distribution. Built-in propane rollouts below the grills keep fuel tanks easily accessible and trash rollouts keep the cooking area tidy, while access doors provide convenient storage space.
An impressive cooking station like this requires a place to prepare large amounts of food, so a mini bar was added opposite the grill station with enough counterspace to help serve smash burgers or breakfast omelettes. A built-in True refrigerator helps keep drinks cool and close at hand, reducing trips in and out of the house.
