The butterflies appear to be floating out of the crib like a dreamscape. Instead of "Z Z Z"s, the butterflies which are handmade and hand applied to the wall, twist and turn as they rise towards the 13 foot ceiling.

Original pine tongue-and-groove ceilings were preserved, while a palette of black, cream, and natural textures introduced a fresh, contemporary contrast. A dark backyard was given a new life with dramatic additions of built in planting beds, custom cut salvaged pavers, green screen trellis and a ton of charm. The reclaimed barn doors add a focal point to the east wall while the custom built two-tier planting system allows vines to fill this garden which spans two floors of the client's home.

The redesign of the existing hall bathroom for aging in place prioritized accessibility, safety, and functionality. By removing a non-structural wall, the space was expanded, offering more room for maneuverability. The conversion of the tub into a shower ensured easy access, while strategically installed grab bars enhanced safety. Additionally, the creation of a functional vanity area optimized everyday use with accessible storage and ample countertop space. Overall, these improvements not only address the immediate needs of the clients but also ensure a comfortable and secure environment for years to come.

Soft Tadelak plaster walls and a neutral palette create an airy, sun-washed feel, while the arched mirror and curved niches echo traditional Mediterranean architecture. A custom white oak vanity with vessel sinks, mosaic tile flooring, and streamlined wall-mounted fixtures elevate the experience without overwhelming the space. Set in the rolling hills of Calistoga, this Winery Estate is a quiet escape that balances hospitality with intimacy. Interiors layer warmth and texture—from pendant-lit kitchen spaces to a lounge where mirrors and soft fixtures amplify vineyard views. Gracious interiors include a balance of formal living spaces, casual family quarters and private domains. Romantic details such as a tower with a curving staircase and wall of windows give it distinct personality. Architects transformed the site’s topography, providing vehicular access and building a 30-foot stone retaining wall to level the site. The change in landscape was sensitively integrated into the existing terrain through use of native materials and color. Reminiscent of estate architecture, the team created connections between the elegant seaside dwelling and its outbuildings, such as the carriage house and beach house.
