As a Realtor I've used the Home Co for the past several years for them to stage my listings and I LOVE their work! As a recent seller of mine said, she didn't like the staging, she LOVED it! I've been in the business for over 30 years, and they are one of the best I have ever used! They are easy to work with too! I look forward to working with them more in the future.

She works with more then one contractor but my feeling is that everyone she recommends are on the same level of professionalism and care greatly about the quality of work they do. Working with Jen and The Home Co. has proved to be one of the best financial decisions I have ever made. I decided to take on a very ambitious $300K+ renovation of my Rockridge home during avery stressful time in my life (newly pregnant and relocating out of market). Thanks to Jen’s business acumen, tireless work ethic, second to none design sense and intimate knowledge of the Rockridge marketplace, I managed to complete the project under a tight deadline and yield a final sale that was $500K+ over asking (not a typo)! In the end, there is absolutely no way I could have done any of this without Jen. She ended up managing my contractors and lining up her own in order meet the open house deadline. And the finished project was absolutely beautiful. If you have the good fortune to work with Jen, consider yourself very lucky.

Jen is absolutely awesome! I met with her to go over my goals for the sale and what services she provides. Everything was straightforward and clear. She arranged for the remodeling (spent about $25K), staging, open house, and sale. I really didn't have to do much of anything but sign a few documents. From the time remodeling was complete to getting bids was about 2 weeks, so super fast. And she got us slightly over 125% over asking price. Made the remodel cost back easily. Didn't even feel like I sold my property since it was so easy.

Jen is the consummate professional and we have enjoyed working with her. Jen has designed and project managed a number of properties for me from top to bottom. I can honestly say with confidence that I think that she has the best design sense out of any designer I have worked with. She is always careful to listen to my budget, needs, and vision, and then make it a reality. The Home Co. "signature touch" is something that I refer to when speaking about Jen. Not only does she have great vision when it comes to design, but she is always able to add those special design elements that really make a space pop and make it unique, unlike all the other cookie cutter designs out there. This "signature touch" is something that you can not get from any other company. If you are considering consulting with an interior designer, do yourself a favor and give Jen a call!

Jen is an amazing agent. We were so lucky to choose her as our listing agent - she expertly reviewed our house for areas to touch up (paint, fixtures, etc) and made skillful recommendations about staging (from her own stock of impeccable furniture) and pricing (start low, but not too low!). Due to her expertise and negotiation prowess, we ended up getting 50+% over our listing price! We would HIGHLY recommend Jen as a listing agent in the future.

We hired the Home Co to repair, stage and sell a house. Jen understood the market well and was able to advise us about what repairs/additions would increase the value. She worked with contractors who were fast, dependable and did high quality work. Her eye for detail, design and color is exceptional, and she chose paint colors, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances and more that were within our budget and worked beautifully together. Her creativity and attention to detail shone in every aspect of this project: repair, staging and sale. She was good about keeping us updated and the project on track. Our sale of a retail property went smoothly and sold for over asking price in a large part due to our listing broker, Jennifer Montague Clark of The Home Co. Jennifer made remodeling suggestions and picked paint colors, light fixtures, appliances and hardware that were exciting and pleasing to the potential buyers. Hired Home Co. as a DESIGN-BUILD team to remodel my 100 hr old craftsman house in Rockridge (nice hip neighborhood in Oakland). I was selling the house and it needed some serious TLC to try and fetch top notch prices. Jennifer (the design arm of the design build) was nothing but TOP-NOTCH in her abilities to communicate, design, and bring my understated bungalow to the GEM that now stands there today. Since I was living >200mi from the project as it was getting done I had to solely rely on Jennifer's amazing "eye" to make sure each and every detail was perfect-- and it was. She transformed a 2BR/1.5BA reasonable house into an amazing 3BR/2BA home with an incredible livable space garage as well... I could not have been happier with the results. Steve (her husband the BUILD arm of the team) was the general contractor (RFC Renovations & Design) for the project and as with Jennifer and his team was also of the upmost highest quality. On time every day. Did super quality work and kept project moving to meet deadlines in order to sell in the time frame proposed by my realtor. DESIGN: Thoughtful, tasteful decisions and careful planning on where to make walls move or doors and windows placed including new skylights were all part of this project and each decision was all made with the eye toward maximizing sale value. She had ingenious ways of making my awkward original floor plan to a completely re-worked masterpiece. The open-space concept unifying my dining room-kitchen-living room could not have come out any better. COMMUNICATION: Both Jennifer and Steve sent daily or nearly daily updates and emails and phone calls when needed to keep me abreast of any major decision points or cost issues. I could not have been happier. Compared to other contractors and designers I've used they are BY FAR the most responsive. QUALITY: Workmanship and eye for the tiniest details were also all part of Jennifer's oversight. Nothing slipped through the cracks... HONESTY: Never once did I ever have an issue with bills or overages or change orders that weren't fully explained ahead of time. Unlike many in the 'trades', Home Co can and should be trusted to the highest degree. Always straightforward, no hidden fees, no hidden agenda. OVERALL: You would be hard pressed to find a better design-build team anywhere. I can vouch personally having did this remodel with Jenn AND doing my own remodel where I live (at the same time!), I only wish I could have hired Jenn and Steve for my own house... they are AMAZING and do incredible work and deserve the HIGHEST OF ACCOLADES.

The first home that my husband and I bought was a complete remodel designed and executed by Jennifer and The Home Co team. The house was built in 1912 and in need of serious work. Jennifer designed a flawless house! From the beautiful fixtures and perfect paint color choices to the soft-close drawers and rainfall shower heads, she thought of everything. She really put herself in the shoes of the people who would be living there and designed it with style and everyday comfort in mind. Two years after purchasing the home we were still discovering new things to love about the design. It's important to point out that The Home Co also took into account the importance of many upgrades that can't be seen. The fundamentals such as the water heater and the foundation were all improved. I can't say enough about how wonderfully our house was to live in - all thanks to Jennifer. We purchased our first home which needed major renovations, but we also had a budget that we wanted to stay within. We wanted to get the needed work done quickly so that we could move in and at a reasonable price, but we wanted quality work that would raise the value of the house. Jennifer of The Home Co is wonderful. She was colorist on the exterior of my home. Not only did she listen to me, and help me pick colors I love, she returned to see how the color looked when swatches were painted and during the painting to make sure they were right and the accent colors would work. When I became concerned whether the color I wanted was too close that of the neighbors, or would effect resale, she did "a color intervention," advising me on what she saw as my options. I highly recommend her company. She is talented, kind and follows through!
