Bright and fun is the best description of this collaborative project. It started with a phone call from Meredith Miller, an out-of-state designer working for a client who recently relocated to Severna Park. Colorful, distinctive and classic — one can’t help but feel happy after spending time in this combination living/dining room. A comfortable and inviting vibe is created by the natural textures and patterns of the floor and window coverings. Abstract art in the living room, painted by New York artist Valeri Leuchs, adds to the vibrant, yet serene atmosphere. Valances and banded drapery panels, with patterns and colors from nature, complement the bright natural light streaming in through the many windows. We love collaborating with designers and completing their visions with the perfect window treatments!

Every successful bath project starts with the right design plan and for this teen’s bathroom, creating a stylish space reflecting their personalities was a must. Safety features, good lighting and proper ventilation improved the usability and enhanced the space for these young adults. We recommended a vent fan that not only removes unwanted moisture but also can stream their favorite music from their smart phones Bluetooth so that the phones can stay safe and dry in a nearby room. Transitional larger format tile in a neutral grey tone, unique and decorative glass tile and brushed nickel edging around the shower cubby added an element of dimension and style. The decorative tile created a stunning focal-point to the back wall of the shower and complimented the brushed nickel fixtures and tending finishes of the white quartz countertop and grey-blend porcelain plank flooring.

This home was completely automated by Control 4. Client was able to control multiple TVs, lights, and areas of audio all from phone, tablet, and/or handheld remote. The Theater room was able to stream several different video sources at once. TV's in the Master Bedroom and Living space were on a motorized mount that would slide down when client was ready for use and vanish into the ceiling when not in use. Clients cameras were also integrated into Control 4 allowing the customer to use 1 app to run the entire home.

The television is custom mounted flush with the cabinets, but is able to be pulled out for best viewing.

Guests enjoy luxurious motorized leather theater seating complete with warm throws and leather ottomans for comfortable movie viewing. The DeVance restrooms continue the Electronic Lifestyle theme on a more personal level, as they are equipped with the top of the line sensor faucets and sinks by TOTO USA, Electric Mirror TVs and the ‘cleaner and greener’ electronic TOTO USA Washlets! The ultimate vision for the DeVance Experience was to create an environment unlike any retail storefront or big box shop, where a unique and exciting experience awaits existing and prospective clients, guests, trade partners and business associates. Collaborating partners are encouraged to utilize the space as a mini-custom showroom of their own; accessing a relaxing environment to lay out clients’ space plans and select samples for custom countertops, specialized cabinet designs, fabrics, paint, carpets, etc. Essentially, The DeVance Experience Center is the hottest design/build/electronic lifestyle showroom around, lending a whole new meaning to “industry partnerships!” Based on current knowledge, there is no other showroom that is comparable. The layout of the new Experience Center was designed specifically for event marketing. What if it’s a nice day out? The client now has a full outdoor 5.1 home theater, featuring a 55-inch all-weather Sunbrite SB-5570HD-SL HDTV, five Episode Landscape ES-LS-SAT-8-BRN outdoor speakers and an underground ES-LS-BSUB-12-CPR subwoofer with a Crown amplifier. Music can be streamed through a Sonos Connect, videos via AppleTV, and everything is wireless and fully controllable by phone or tablet via a MRX-10 controller system.
