The kitchen is housed in a new addition to the home which we designed. The kitchen features custom painted and stained oak cabinetry with a custom designed crown and hood vent cover. The hood vent has a venetian plaster finish. The countertop is a leathered Taj Mahal quartzite. The tile backsplash is a Zellige tile.

Lighting can be toned down from functional task lighting to soft ambient light with lit glass door cabinets, under-cabinet lights and dimmed ceiling lights. Plaster styled hood and multi-colored slate backsplash shown.

Classic kitchen & pantry, dining, great room, and mudroom remodel. Two-tone rift cut white oak and white cabinetry, zellige-style backsplash, plaster hood, and brass fixtures.

Designer Erica Ortiz, Designs By Erica, selected the hand made decorative tiles to create a focal point under a lovely plaster hood with a wide antique gilt wood border. She thought the curves of the tile pattern restated the refined, but rustic arches in the cabinet doors. The hand painted green field tiles she selected for the splash are a good compliment to the distressed off-white glazed cabinets. Photo by Richard White
