This piece of art is our floating platform with integrated nightstands. With a custom change, craft the headboard to have a double herringbone, it turned out absolutely amazing. Crafted with reclaimed barn board for the headboard and threshing board for the rails. Gord stained the rails grey to match the grey board in the headboard. As always finished with our water based satin clear coat.

The homeowners were ready to renovate this basement to add more living space for the entire family. Before, the basement was used as a playroom, guest room and dark laundry room! In order to give the illusion of higher ceilings, the acoustical ceiling tiles were removed and everything was painted white. The reconfiguration of the master bathroom opened up the space by pairing a platform shower with a freestanding tub. The open shower, wall-hung vanity, and wall-hung water closet create continuous flooring and an expansive feeling. The result is a welcoming space with a calming aesthetic.
