The House DesignersThis gorgeous one story modern farmhouse is one of our consistent BEST SELLERS. The Chelci is a customer-built, modified version of THD-8516 - The Walden. From its split bedrooms providing privacy for rest and all the way to the potential expansion of an additional 471 sq.ft. of bonus space above the garage, this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath 2,188 s.f. design couldn’t be more family friendly.
Entering the casual foyer, the space is immediately airy with an almost 19 feet ceiling. The open concept space is full of natural light and the vaulted ceilings with wood beams emphasize the true “greatness” of the room. The gas fireplace provides quick cozyness. Mike Farley Pool Designer, SWD, ASLAThis is a beautiful natural freeform pool and spa recently on HGTV Ultimate Pools, located in Dallas, TX. The big thing about this project that was unique was the trees. We were required to save all the trees. There are a lot of areas where the paving is not mortared together to allow moisture and air through to help the trees. There is a 6' elevation change that helps incorporate the boulders and waterfall into the hillside for a more natural look. There was an existing green house that was removed and the existing garage was turned it into a cabana/pool house with a covered area to relax in with furniture by the deep end of the pool. There is a big deep end for lots of activity along with a nice size shallow end for water sports, including basketball. The clients' wish list included a cave, slide, and waterfalls along with a firepit. The cave can comfortably sit 6 people and is cool in the hot Texas weather. We used pockets of plants around to soften things and break up all the rock to create a more natural look with the overall setting. Randy Heller Pure and Simple Interior DesignI love the oversized runner that we placed in this master bathroom. Something that you don't always see in a bathroom. The soft mushroom painted cabinets play off the cabinets in the kitchen and the polished nickel faucets mix lovely with the oil rubbed bronze wall sconces. Oversized mirror frames add additional interest opposed to glueing mirrors to the wall and the mosaic tiled wall in the shower adds a beautiful pattern to the room.

- the removal of a visually disruptive load bearing central wall and chimney system that formerly partitioned the homes’ entry, dining, kitchen and living rooms from each other
- added clerestory windows above the new kitchen to accentuate the new vaulted ceiling line and create a greater visual continuation of indoor to outdoor space
- drastically increased the access to natural light by increasing window sizes and opening up the floor plan
- placed natural wood elements throughout to provide a calming palette and cohesive Pacific Northwest feel
- incorporated Universal Design principles to make the home Aging In Place ready with wide hallways and accessible spaces, including single-floor living if needed
- moved and completely redesigned the stairway to work for the home’s occupants and be a part of the cohesive design aesthetic
- mixed custom tile layouts with more traditional tiling to create fun and playful visual experiences

The House DesignersThis gorgeous one story modern farmhouse is one of our consistent BEST SELLERS. The Chelci is a customer-built, modified version of THD-8516 - The Walden. From its split bedrooms providing privacy for rest and all the way to the potential expansion of an additional 471 sq.ft. of bonus space above the garage, this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath 2,188 s.f. design couldn’t be more family friendly.
