This stunning complete kitchen and powder bath remodel in a historic Kensington home is the second project Lars has had the pleasure of working on with this family. After completing a second story master suite addition and backyard remodel nearly 13 years ago, the clients were ready to tackle phase two: transforming their kitchen into their dream space.
Timeless design elements are paired with decidedly modern touches, upscale appliances, and custom finishes. The expansive island serves as the focal point of the room, drawing the eye in with its rich gray color, while stunning gold accents, pendant lighting, and handsome Waterstone fixtures complete the look. Another stunning showpiece in this remodel is the custom armoire cabinet that houses the Miele Mastercool refrigerator and freezer.
The powder room perfectly pairs drama and design with its sultry color palette and rich gold accents, but the true star of the show in this small space are the oversized teardrop pendant lights that flank the embossed leather vanity.

Once again, we have had the pleasure of working with this outstanding builder on another project. Aaron Mauk not only designed but supplied and installed all the cabinetry in this new home which definitely utilizes an "open" design concept throughout. Unique lighting elements are found in every room which keeps every space fun and exciting. The kitchen uses grey tones to create a cool, clean environment that showcases the breathtaking ceilings. Most of the cabinetry in the house is shown in Marsh’s “Graphite” stain on maple wood, which is a beautiful way of tying the whole home together. This home is not only beautiful, but it is functional as well. The pull down closet rods found in the laundry room extend over the washer and dryer so it can be used when needed, but easily stored out of the way when not in use.

We flipped this kitchen and dining room orientation to take advantage of a wonderful pasture view. Who doesn't like watching cows all day? These homeowners may live in a farmhouse, but they wanted to bring more elegance with a Transitional style kitchen. We did recessed panel cabinetry with a soft ogee edge treatment in 2 different colors to keep it light, yet durable for this young family. With a symmetrical island, glass cabinets and lighting, this kitchen is elegant, functional and a pleasure to work in. Modern Black Stainless appliances and rustic blackened hardware create the perfect balance of modern and traditional elements.

Step into perfection. This home was built by a renowned architect, Robert Edson Swain, in 1978. I am colossally honored to have had the opportunity of a lifetime to recreate a few spaces in this home to fit the lifestyle, needs and style of the family who reside in it. It’s been nothing short of a pleasure and joy to work with my clients and these spaces. We chose organic materials for the Solarium. We absolutely were not to miss an opportunity to incorporate every single element, the space and the outdoors offered. We chose brown hues, with some black accents to bring the slate flooring alive. We brought in a live edge dining table paired with modern dining chairs that offered a stark contrast with black leather. Using a modern Sputnik chandelier above the dining table gives an amazing glow to the glass walls and ceiling. Lighter rug invites the marble fireplace into the opposite side of the room. We used a unique skipping stone side table accompanied by modern, simply shaped leather side chairs to create its own relaxing oasis by the fireplace. In the end, this absolutely stunning Solarium took on the personality and functionality of its residents.
