The first element you notice is the amazing millwork wall I designed to provide a lifetime of storage and plenty of functionality. This is the element that travels throughout the entire home. It is made of solid white oak with fluted details to tie in with the rest of the home. The vertical lines make the millwork look more elevated, and the combination of negative and positive spaces creates a lighter look. The space was a blank slate with white walls, with a tremendous potential. I utilized the entire wall space to create a walk in closet, and a custom millwork which provides storage, an entertainment lounge area, desk area and even a bar. Photography by Francis Augustine

When most people think of modern railing, they think of cable. Here at Viewrail, we are offering an innovative alternative -- stainless steel rods. With the same profile and price point, rods are setting a new bar in the railing industry. Not only do they install 50% faster than cable, but they have minimal maintenance and higher standards of durability. Combine all of that with the ability to receive powder coat finishes and you have an unbeatable system.

Modern luxury meets warm farmhouse in this Southampton home! Scandinavian inspired furnishings and light fixtures create a clean and tailored look, while the natural materials found in accent walls, casegoods, the staircase, and home decor hone in on a homey feel. An open-concept interior that proves less can be more is how we’d explain this interior. By accentuating the “negative space,” we’ve allowed the carefully chosen furnishings and artwork to steal the show, while the crisp whites and abundance of natural light create a rejuvenated and refreshed interior. This sprawling 5,000 square foot home includes a salon, ballet room, two media rooms, a conference room, multifunctional study, and, lastly, a guest house (which is a mini version of the main house).

We took this entire wall and used it as a canvas to lay out the design of the floating shelves, stone, and window casings. Our design takes into account the exact placement and sizing of each aspect and the use of negative space on the wall.

Decoration is creation. With Carisma Italiano, Petracer’s reaches the essence of the ceramic product and turns the necessary modularity of the support into expressive potential. Twelve positive and negative decoration patterns available in two colours create a language in its own right, universal yet always different, as different are its voices. Points and lines expand, take on different shapes and wander off in new directions, each time starting from scratch and telling a new, unique story. Patterns establish an intense dialogue with each specific interior design style, lines are powerful and plastic, space is used as a musical score. Carisma Italiano is dedicated to all those who have something interesting to say, and want to say it through decoration.

In the Dining Room: we selected a gorgeous wool rug, featuring shades of cobalt blue and deep rusty orange and then painted the walls Salty Dog (a classic bright navy). The spunky light fixture is a focal point and the farm table easily seats eight hungry friends.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option! Photo credit: Jeff Murrey
