Generator on the raised concrete pad with the meter main and conduit run. Installed by ElectriciansX, LLC, Fort Myers, FL. ElectriciansX, LLC installed a Generac 28 kW standby generator at a home in the Caloosa View neighborhood of Fort Myers, Florida. The home had an existing 200 amp meter main combo on the exterior wall. We installed a Generac automatic transfer switch next to it and connected it to the generator, so the home switches to generator power automatically during an outage. The generator sits on a custom-made concrete pad. The pad was required to be at least one foot off the ground in Fort Myers. This is one of Generac's newer standby models. It can be connected to by Bluetooth, and it has a cellular device on the back that stays connected to the system at all times. The packaging also lists cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity. Many homes in this part of Fort Myers belong to an older generation of homes and are not built from concrete block like the typical Fort Myers house. This home has lap siding on the exterior.
