My client wanted to bring her exquisite landscaping into view in the foyer. My preliminary drawings showed the spaces above the stairs and below the treads as a continuous space with the horizons being continuous. This mural makes a bold statement while its tapestry like muted palette brings a wonderful embracing warmth to the space.

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

This Bonita Springs home, nestled in the golf course community of Bonita Bay, had never been renovated and lacked sufficient space to accommodate these homeowners’ needs. Working initially with preliminary drawings provided by their daughter who is a licensed architect, Progressive Design Build helped the homeowners establish a preliminary budget and set a construction schedule. Once the couple knew what they wanted and had a design brief in hand, they set about creating a new, traditional and functional room addition. Progressive Design Build teamed up with the architect to produce a final set of working drawings. The house addition consisted of a new master bedroom and master bathroom with vaulted ceilings, built-in cabinetry, and porcelain tile floors. To improve indoor/outdoor flow, Progressive Deign Build also renovated the homeowner’s pool deck. Upon project completion, this project received top honors for remodeling excellence from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), receiving a Contractor of the Year (CotY) award. One of the major challenges, other than a very limited lot size, was the threat of a massive hurricane during construction. Construction had to cease for over a week to ensure that there was no damage to the home, property or adjacent properties. Due to the inclement weather situations, the project went two weeks over the estimated time frame. Since completion, Progressive Design Build designed and built two other remodeling projects for this southwest Florida homeowner.

This modern home features a striking horizontal stainless steel railing system. Sleek 1/2" round stainless steel bars run between rich wooden posts, creating a clean and open feel that complements the renovated hardwood floors throughout. We love the contrast in this bright cheery kitchen! The mix of metals and use of black, and grey all provide pattern and texture to the space. The corner range makes an ideal cooking area flanked by the microwave, open shelving and a pull out for oils and spices.

The stairs in this iconic golf property have become the main focal point for many of their indoor venues; classically contoured white balusters maintain a bright look in this great interior space, and complement beautifully the detailed railings and magnificent woodwork throughout the clubhouse. After preliminary shop drawings were submitted for mark up by the supervising Architect and final approval was obtained, we were able to bring to life their fabulous vision.
