This washroom has so many creative elements: a medicine cabinet that doubles as art, frosted aqua glass, counter tops, aqua blue mosaic glass tile in the shower, and honey coloured, white oak to keep the space warm and inviting. This washroom also houses a hidden laundry room that disappears into the decor of the washroom.

Restoration of a 130 year old portico in Montreal's West end. This project was undertaken to restore the grand entry to a lovely heritage home. The structure suffered from major deterioration including rot and damage from carpenter ants. The floor structure and stairs were completely replaced with Ipe decking and treads. The newel posts, square columns and pedestals were constructed on site from PVC lumber to prevent rot in the future. The entire structure stripped, sanded and repainted after all the fascia, soffits and cornice moldings were replaced. The handrails and balusters were reproduced in yellow pine and updated to meet modern code requirements. The metal roof was patched and repainted, and the concrete footings repaired and parged. I'm confident that our work will last another century!

This Italian marble gazebo was rescued from a ruble pile in Alabama where it had sat for 20 years before I brought it to Atlanta to restore. The marble had been stained by the dirt it had laid in for decades requiring the development of several customized cleaning processes to prevent further damage. After cleaning all the components, we poured a foundation and slab to build it on. the stones were delicate and very heavy 200 - 300 lbs each and had to be placed very precisely. to accomplish this, we built custom scaffolding and a custom gantry crane to place each stone. Then we restored the wrought Iron work and installed it on top tying all the components together. where it will stand for decades of garden tours.

This picture shows two key factors of gutter and downspout installation. The new guttering is positioned so it overhangs the brick walls. This means rainwater is carried away from the walls, preventing possible damage to the brickwork and window frames. Notice the position and angle of the downspout. It doesn’t have a boot for water collection. This downspout has been designed and installed at an angle. This cleverly moves the rainwater down the sloped driveway where it can flow down into the street and into the town’s stormwater drain.
