Green River Stone Company's private quarry lies at the bottom of an ancient lake. 50 million years ago, fortuitous conditions combined to preserve fish perfectly. Our technicians remove excess stone using fine hand tools to reveal the pristine fossils in stunning detail. The finished fossil mural is a snapshot in time, a timeless piece of natural art.

When we imagine the homes of our favorite actors, we often think of picturesque kitchens, artwork hanging on the walls, luxurious furniture, and pristine conditions 24/7. But for celebrities with children, sometimes that last one isn’t always accurate! Kids will be kids – which means there may be messy bedrooms, toys strewn across their play area, and maybe even some crayon marks or finger-paints on walls or floors. Lucy Liu recently partnered with One Kings Lane and Paintzen to redesign her son Rockwell’s playroom in their Manhattan apartment for that reason. Previously, Lucy had decided not to focus too much on the layout or color of the space – it was simply a room to hold all of Rockwell’s toys. There wasn’t much of a design element to it and very little storage. Lucy was ready to change that – and transform the room into something more sophisticated and tranquil for both Rockwell and for guests (especially those with kids!). And to really bring that transformation to life, one of the things that needed to change was the lack of color and texture on the walls. When selecting the color palette, Lucy and One Kings Lane designer Nicole Fisher decided on a more neutral, contemporary style. They chose to avoid the primary colors, which are too often utilized in children’s rooms and playrooms. Instead, they chose to have Paintzen paint the walls in a cozy gray with warm beige undertones. (Try PPG ‘Slate Pebble’ for a similar look!) It created a perfect backdrop for the decor selected for the room, which included a tepee for Rockwell, some Tribal-inspired artwork, Moroccan woven baskets, and some framed artwork. To add texture to the space, Paintzen also installed wallpaper on two of the walls. The wallpaper pattern involved muted blues and grays to add subtle color and a slight contrast to the rest of the walls. In the center of the backyard, a pristine artificial turf lawn provides a lush, verdant surface that's easy to maintain year-round. The vibrant green of the artificial grass creates a vivid backdrop for outdoor activities and gatherings, and it remains pristine even in adverse weather conditions.

This is an authentic 1853 British Arms civil war musket in amazing condition. The gun was made in England and has the British Arms seal clearly stamped along with other markings. The gun was sold to both the Union army and the Confederate army. Based on the condition of the gun it appears that it may have been used by the Confederate Navy as most infantry muskets are badly worn. This musket is pristine. This weapon was given to my father in the mid 1960's by a 92 year old man who was our next door neighbor at the time. His last name was Sather. I researched the name Sather in the Civil War registry and there were a couple of names that were a possible match but both were Union Army Soldiers. So, the mystery behind the history and story of the gun is currently unsolved. The barn wood was from a horse barn that was built in 1890 in Orfordville, WI I took the barn down and saved all the wood and some of the beams. The barn is pictured below the stock of the gun. Three sides of the barn are now nailed to the wall in our lower level. Nothing was done to the wood except cleaning up the edges so they would lay flat on top of each other. It was quite the project but it looks amazing in our lower level
