Completed in 2020, this impressive luxury estate was went through a complete renovation of the house and the entire property and gardens. This expansive estate creates a private oasis and retreat in the middle of Dallas. The estate includes a private lake with fountain features and stocked with fish, impressive entry gates, an expansive new driveway and front motor court arrival area, grand steps, stone retaining walls and a meandering path that wraps around the lake and offers a wonderful walking experience around the property. The gardens are spectacular and feature a variety of blooming shrubs, perennials and flowers to create a year round experience of color and texture for the owners. The perimeter of the property features mature privacy hedges and trees strategically placed to enhance the views from the house, while still providing glimpses into the property for the neighborhood. The existing swimming pool was completely renovated to create a tanning shelf for chaise lounges as well as a decorative tile, new plaster and canon fountain jets along the side to provide additional interest. The pool terrace, walkways and all exterior patios feature a beautiful limestone material that dresses up the outside living areas. Adjacent to the pool, the existing cabana structure was redone to create an outdoor kitchen and bar seating for friends and family. The wrap around porches on the backside of the house create inviting spaces for entertaining and offer incredible vistas overlooking the gardens and lake. A large fire pit terrace was also included beside the lake creating a spectacular experience of water and fire. We also created recreation areas on the property for kids and adults alike. This home had a generous master suite prior to the renovation; however, it was located close to the rest of the bedrooms and baths on the floor. They desired their own separate oasis with more privacy and asked us to design and add a 2nd story addition over the existing 1st floor family room, that would include a master suite with a laundry/gift wrapping room. We added a 2nd story addition without adding to the existing footprint of the home. The addition is entered through a private hallway with a separate spacious laundry room, complete with custom storage cabinetry, sink area, and countertops for folding or wrapping gifts. The bedroom is brimming with details such as custom built-in storage cabinetry with fine trim mouldings, window seats, and a fireplace with fine trim details. The master bathroom was designed with comfort in mind. A custom double vanity and linen tower with mirrored front, quartz countertops and champagne bronze plumbing and lighting fixtures make this room elegant. Water jet cut Calcatta marble tile and glass tile make this walk-in shower with glass window panels a true work of art. Steam Shower with Barrier Free Base

We started with a traditional, builder grade bathroom and re-imagined the space to become a beautiful steam shower retreat. The original layout had a the acrylic tub at the bathroom entrance on the left with the vanity and toilet toward the window. We replace the casement window with a glass block and removed a closet and expanded the area for the new shower. The shower base is recessed to achieve a barrier free entrance. This spa has a steam unit as well as dual rain heads controlled independently. There is a floating tiled bench with four body jets on separate controls. The custom wall mounted vanity is perfectly integrated with a Vanico over counter sink. Two wall mounted fixtures provide a sleek look with the practical functionality of a dual sink configuration. A matching tall linen maximises storage. There is also a heated wall mounted towel warmer on a digital timer thermostat. We added a pocket door to the adjacent bedroom to provide convenient private access for guests.

In this master bath renovation, we installed Design-Craft Newcastle solid wood reversed raised door style cabinets in Maple with White Icing Painting finish. On the countertops Dupont Corian Private Collection in Witch Hazel with a 4” high backsplash behind the sink areas and two Toto Dartmouth undermount lavatory sinks in Sedona Beige accented with Delta Dryden two handle wide spread faucets and Roman Tub with handshower in Champagne Bronze and a Baci Vanity Rectangular mirror. Also installed was a Bain Ultra Inua Thermomasseur tub 66x36 in Biscuit. A custom frameless shower enclosure with Brushed Bronze hardware. In the shower, Ottomano Ivory 6x6 naturale tile was used in the border in the shower flanked by Questch Dorset anti bronze rope liner. For the shower floor Ottomano Ivory 2x2 mosaic and Ottomano 12x24 naturale tile was installed. And installed on the floor and tub surround was Ottomano Ivory 18x18 naturale.

2011 NATIONAL NARI COTY SOUTHEAST REGIONAL AWARD This family of four living in a 1987 brick colonial had to make dramatic changes now that their 85 years old grandmother was about to move in. They needed a mother-in-law suite complete with bathroom facilities to meet her needs. Because they were remodeling anyway, they decided to overhaul the rest of the home to create the house they have always dreamed about, including a grand two-story entry. Starting in the basement, the homeowner added a home theatre room, added storage and a larger bathroom. Hard wood floors and a new stairway were also added. The main level boasts the new two-story entry foyer. To its left is the mother-in-law suite with a large front bay window and its own walk-in closet and private bath. The bath is furnished with a walk-in jetted tub and aging-in-place accessories. Other first floor highlights include a music room and gourmet kitchen. Kitchen amenities the client always wanted were added, including a large center island, extended cabinets, double layered crown molding, exotic granite top and wide board mahogany floors throughout entire first floor. The entire second floor and stairs going up were reconfigured too. The master bedroom is larger with a new tray ceiling and recess lights. The new walk- in closet is now adjacent to the master bath instead of being across the room. The master bathroom was totally gutted and re-positioned.
