With this international project, Equine Facility Design was brought on to address site master planning and design the project development for a private equestrian training facility, focused on showjumping. The program entails a 30 stall stable, groom housing, equipment storage, hay and bedding storage facilities. The design included a 50 x 30 meter indoor arena with a viewing room, a 70 x 50 meter outdoor arena, with indoor viewing room, an outdoor multipurpose sport court arena with viewing terrace. Additional infrastructure provided for manure storage facilities, a horse exerciser, a 25 x 3 meter equine therapy/ swimming pool, and site amenities of parking and access drives, pastures, and paddocks.

Custom Programming Complimentary with the architectural design of curved walls, we installed two curved Samsung TVs. Through custom programming we were able to provide our client the ability to use both TVs simultaneously. With the ingenuity of our team we created an eye captivating custom designed 4K background scenery of wineries that scroll through the TVs providing an additional WOW factor to this already exquisite room. Motorized Shades Motorized shades were installed for the floor to ceiling windows. With easy to use controls, our client can enjoy amazing views or minimize harsh glare on the TVs. The shades are hidden inside custom soffits so they don’t distract from the beautiful view of the landscape or the exquisite design of the room. Savant Control System The Savant Control system was installed to provide our clients the ability and ease of controlling everything in one central location with one touch technology.

We developed this innovative solution using a motorized mylar roller shade combined with a motorized cellular shade. With the mylar roller shade down, the views are unobstructed but 99% of the UV is blocked, minimizing heating issues during long summer days. The mylar shade can be retracted to allow full solar heating during the winter. Lowering the cellular honeycomb shade provides optimal insulation on the window, which is further boosted if the mylar shade is also lowered. Best of all, it can be controlled using hand-held remotes, or controlled or programmed for automatic operation, even from halfway around the world using a tablet or mobile phone.

Every custom home needs a space that is as unique to its design as much as to the family that calls it home. This multimedia room includes a traditional home theatre with recessed seating as well as a golf simulator—providing a dual purpose. The multimedia room is intentionally located in the home where the sound is muffled to the remainder of the house when in use. The room is finished out in 7.2 surround sound with Sonance speakers and state of the art Sony amplifier and projector. The Screen Innovations Black Diamond screen with a cinema quality projector and high-speed camera is remotely controlled using a Control4 system loaded IPad. All the lights are wirelessly controlled, and the shades and blinds are motorized and programed to open and close at a designated time or can be commanded to open via Alexa. Merchandised with beige leather recliners and blue patterned carpet, this space uses shades of blue to create an ideal place for family movie nights, entertaining or rounds of indoor golf on rainy afternoons.

The large master bathroom includes a separate toilet compartment with a Toto toilet for added privacy, and is connected to the bedroom and the walk-in closet, all via pocket doors. The main part of the bathroom includes a luxurious freestanding Victoria + Albert bathtub situated near a large window with a Riobel chrome floor mounted tub spout. It also has a one-of-a-kind open shower with a cultured marble gray shower base, 12 x 24 polished Venatino wall tile with 1" chrome Schluter Systems strips used as a unique decorative accent.
