This Bonita Bay kitchen was updated in white perimeter Dura Supreme cabinets and complemented with MSI Calacutta Clara quartz countertops, featuring a milky-white backdrop and gorgeous long linear veining. The quartz countertops are paired expertly with a Tesoro Arctic Matte tile backsplash, the ripple effect which creates movement and greets spectators with a simple, contemporary style. Bringing warmth and sophistication to the space, our clients chose a complimentary transitional, medium brown Dura Supreme cabinet stain (Morel) that features a touch of gray used on the island, open shelves, and oven hood. This beautiful hand-rubbed, stained finish enhances the natural character and grain of the wood species and expertly ties the ceiling beam into the living room space. Completing the look are two aged brass pendants by Capital Lighting that hang above the oversized island, as well as new Bosch appliances and Provenza hardwood flooring that seamlessly blend the open living space together.

The master bath was updated with marble-inspired countertops and porcelain tile flooring. The shower includes a glass enclosure by My Shower Door and tile from both Prosource and Reben. Other highlights include a practical shower niche and dual stainless steel showerheads.

Hindering our client’s ability to have an open floor plan, or “great room” type feel, was an existing wall that was designed to separate the kitchen from the living room. During the design phase, we determined that this wall was non-structural and could be removed to create the spacious feel our clients were looking for.

By removing two of the interior dividing walls that encased the kitchen, we created a functional open floorplan. This allowed the new 6” Provenza white oak wire-brushed wood flooring (in an Ancient Arch finish) to flow throughout the common areas in the home as well as the bedroom. It also created synchronicity throughout the house. The dark kitchen perimeter cabinets were replaced with Crystal Encore cabinetry in a Tahoe door style with a Frosty White matte finish. The cabinets were chosen to compliment the exotic Mont Blanc quartzite countertops quarried from the mountains of Brazil with its sophisticated creamy white finish with small veins of gray and gold. After framing and creating a chimney, we installed a Heat and Flow, Royal Hearth 36” wood burning fireplace in the family room. The fireplace hearth and surround were installed flush with the new wood flooring in Dekton X-Gloss Natural Collection Glacier. The details of the floor feature thin golden veins over a white background with a crystal-like shine. The custom hearth was finished in black and flanked by white built-in cabinets on either side.

By design, the Riverstone pebble flooring in the open shower and the ceiling-mounted shower head combine to create an effect that you are bathing under a waterfall. Further adding to the dramatic “outdoor” effect, we designed the shower walls using textured wave wall tile which also helped to hide the grout lines.

Beams made a striking statement to people walking through the front doors, complimented by the gorgeous architectural detail of a unique French Countryside Scagliola Stone ™ fireplace mantel that was hand-made in Atlanta, Georgia. The fireplace, which burns wood or gas, was designed in a 2 x 9 herringbone brick pattern in beige and built with beautiful dark oak built-ins on either side. The chimney and custom decorative shroud was especially made to match the new coppertone roof. Large new sliding glass doors opened up onto the new pool deck and screen enclosure, letting in plenty of natural light.

These Bonita Bay homeowners had plenty of out of town guests and wanted a comfortable place for friends and family to stay. As a solution, we designed a 1,500 sq. ft. two-story addition to function as an airy, cozy guest quarters. The design included rebuilding the garage, creating a separate entrance and adding three bedrooms and two bathrooms above.
