We built a gazebo type structure to provide a nice shady sitting area next to the pool. It comes complete with a native stone floor, lights and a ceiling fan.
The Belgard cobblestone pavers were already here but had settled and needed re-leveled. Now they look great again and contrast to the concrete around the pool.
Native stone steps lead down into the gazebo.

A landscape created to be a no-mow garden. Full of plants that bring color throughout the year. Providing food and shelter for overwintering birds. A truly textural experience that supports the local ecosystem.

As its bright yellow blooms fade, Oregon Grape, also native to California, fills with these bright blue berries. They provide a delightful snack for humans and birds alike.

The curvilinear drive is intended to be functional, and artful, while providing uninterrupted access over the ravine, where water levels can rise as much as 8’ in intense rains. Adjacent trees were preserved by minimizing site grading. Photo Credit :Chipper Hatter

Providing a natural habitat for native bee, birds and butterflies, this client asked for native plants outside the balcony porch. Our designer planted such native plants as purple milkweed, hyssop, woodland sunflowers and wild bergamot requiring less water, fertilizer and maintenance. A custom-made bird bath, hand carved from
granite with a steel base attracts all kinds of nature to this secret garden. Rusted steel edging follows the path as it curves the bank of the slope. Photography: Laurel Stacy Photography

This Bird bath boulder provides great sound and supports native wildlife.

An existing handcrafted natural sandstone pool and terrace provides cool relief in the hot Australian summer. The dramatic view across Pittwater to Lion Island is filtered by palms and Eucalypts - native to the area.

Hanging lights provide soft area lighting in this front garden for a Craftsman style house.
This front yard features a seating area and jar fountain, ringed by aromatic native plantings of California Lilac, Manzanita, Cleveland Sage. A meadow-style planting of native sedge grasses create soft look in the foreground, and new concrete pavers add a modern touch. We also believe the project’s driveway to be among the prettiest we’ve created or seen: a ribbon of stones and grasses now meanders along a Hollywood-style center planting area.
