A home built on one of Canada's most beautiful lakes posed a design challenge. The home had originally been built almost directly in opposition to natural light and views to the lake. While most opinions were to tear the existing home down, BLDG Workshop worked closely with the client to recreate the home in a way that opened it up and became more fitting to the site.

This is a rugged, rustic wall mantle that can be used in a number of ways for Nautical Décor, Christmas Décor, Wall Book shelf, Coat and hat rack, mudroom, Cabin, wall mantle for small spaces. Beautiful Aged wood construction. Genuine stamped "1936" Railroad nails adorn this rugged wall mantle/shelf, and serve as the hooks. His heavy, rugged, aged wood wall mantle measures 22-1/2" long x 6" high x 5-1/2" deep, and weight is about 3-1/2 pounds.

This client didn't have any built in shelves for Shampoo bottles and other shower necessities. Also, the client wanted to replace the existing bench because of issues they had with the existing grout and tile. Rather than redoing the tiled bench, I selected a slab of travertine to match the existing tile. We also added the stone shelves you see on the wall to make the space more functional.

CLOSE-UP VIEW This master bath makeover starts with bare walls that have been floated out smooth over the sheetrock. Then we hand applied a beautiful custom tinted, soft grey Venetian plaster. After two coats of plaster, the walls were waxed and buffed. This process seals the plaster, leaving a long-lasting finish. The finished product is subtle and undeniably beautiful! I’ve included a close-up view of the finish below.

Removed a wall and opened up an entry wider to the kitchen from hallway. Gutted old kitchen and installed new custom cabinetry with laminate counter tops. New stainless steel appliances, double bowl stainless steel sink with arctic stainless pull out faucet with matching soap dispenser. Bronze hardware was installed for the cabinetry as well as under cabinet lighting, Installed a new Vector vinyl double hung window. Artisan Equart 3" x 8" Glass tile backsplash - Color: Aqua. Huchenson 5" x 47" plank Laminate flooring - Color: Havana Hickory.

This custom stair is made from patina’d cold rolled steel, reclaimed wood, concrete and rawhide leather. This blend of materials create a stair that rises above the rest by mixing contemporary sophistication with a touch of rustic, organic warmth. Available in custom sizes and designs.
