We met these clients through a referral from a previous client. We renovated several rooms in their traditional-style farmhouse in Abington. The kitchen is farmhouse chic, with white cabinetry, black granite counters, Carrara marble subway tile backsplash, and a beverage center. The large island, with its white quartz counter, is multi-functional, with seating for five at the counter and a bench on the end with more seating, a microwave door, a prep sink and a large area for prep work, and loads of storage. The kitchen includes a large sitting area with a corner fireplace and wall mounted television. The multi-purpose mud room has custom built lockers for coats, shoes and bags, a built-in desk and shelving, and even space for kids to play! All three bathrooms use black and white in varied materials to create clean, classic spaces. RUDLOFF Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. We also were voted Best of Design in 2016, 2017 and 2018, which only 2% of professionals receive. We completely renovated this Haverford home between Memorial Day and Labor Day! We maintained the traditional feel of this colonial home with Early-American heart pine floors and bead board on the walls of various rooms. But we also added features of modern living. The open concept kitchen has warm blue cabinetry, an eating area with a built-in bench with storage, and an especially convenient area for pet supplies and eating! Subtle and sophisticated, the bathrooms are awash in gray and white Carrara marble. We custom made built-in shelves, storage and a closet throughout the home. Crafting the millwork on the staircase walls, post and railing was our favorite part of the project. This colonial home in Penn Valley, PA, needed a complete interior renovation. Working closely with the owners, we renovated all three floors plus the basement. Now the house is bright and light, featuring open layouts, loads of natural light, and a clean design maximizing family living areas. Highlights include: - creating a guest suite in the third floor/attic - installing custom millwork and moulding in the curved staircase and foyer - creating a stunning, contemporary kitchen, with marble counter tops, white subway tile back splash, and an eating nook. Entering the back yard is like entering an English garden. To ensure a seamless look between the original new parts of the house, we built the covered patio using the same German schist stone and timber framed stucco. Further, the stone’s pointing matches the original historic stone, and we used a gray grout for a weathered, aged look. The space is finished off with spiraled lattice iron works and all slate roof. At the end of the roof is an open truss timber frame in a cathedral design. Copper flashing at the joints protects the wood from water sitting in the spaces and eventually rotting the joints. The patio itself features a flagstone floor, built in gas grill, and the other side of the Rumford fireplace found in the family room. This custom-built staircase connects the new family room to the existing kitchen and is offset by a square newel post. The red oak floor is covered with a carpet tread. What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house. We updated the current basement staircase by installing new pines steps and railings. We tore down the walls between four rooms to create this great room in Villanova, PA. And what a difference it makes! This bright space is perfect for everyday living and entertaining family and friends as the kitchen, eating and living areas flow seamlessly. With red oak flooring throughout, we used white and light gray materials and crown moulding to give this large space a cohesive yet open feel. We added wainscoting to the steel post columns. Other projects in this house included installing red oak flooring throughout the first floor, refinishing the main staircase, building new stairs into the basement, installing new basement flooring and opening the basement rooms to create another entertainment area. We worked with the owners of this World War II-era farmhouse in Wynnewood, PA, to renovate and modernize their kitchen. We added custom cabinetry, open shelving made from reclaimed wood, state-of-the-art commercial appliances, a beverage center, and a large island with seating to enhance the functionality of the space. High-end finishes, like the white granite and reclaimed long leaf pine wood counters and the white porcelain tile backsplash, give this farmhouse kitchen a modern, yet classic, look. This condominium is modern and sleek, while still retaining much of its traditional charm. We added paneling to the walls, archway, door frames, and around the fireplace for a special and unique look throughout the home. To create the entry with convenient built-in shoe storage and bench, we cut an alcove an existing to hallway. The deep-silled windows in the kitchen provided the perfect place for an eating area, which we outfitted with shelving for additional storage. Form, function, and design united in the beautiful black and white kitchen. It is a cook’s dream with ample storage and counter space. The bathrooms play with gray and white in different materials and textures to create timeless looks. The living room’s built-in shelves and reading nook in the bedroom add detail and storage to the home. The pops of color and eye-catching light fixtures make this condo joyful and fun. We renovated the exterior and the 4-car garage of this colonial, New England-style estate in Haverford, PA. The 3-story main house has white, western red cedar siding and a green roof. The detached, 4-car garage also functions as a gentleman’s workshop. Originally, that building was two separate structures. The challenge was to create one building with a cohesive look that fit with the main house’s New England style. Challenge accepted! We started by building a breezeway to connect the two structures. The new building’s exterior mimics that of the main house’s siding, stone and roof, and has copper downspouts and gutters. The stone exterior has a German shmear finish to make the stone look as old as the stone on the house. The workshop portion features mahogany, carriage style doors. The workshop floors are reclaimed Belgian block brick. RUDLOFF Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017.
