The client's purchased this home with a gorgeous lot but needing a total gut renovation and addition. We brought the mechanicals, insulation, and electrical up-to-speed along with renovating the interior and exterior of the home. A few of the interesting features seen here are a reclaimed wood island-top from a local train station, the cabinets custom-made with a local cabinet maker, a copper ceiling above the island in the kitchen, a large farmhouse sink in the kitchen, and a table from reclaimed wood. We also installed custom built-ins and window seats for the children's rooms. All of this was built for the client on-site.

The homeowner of this newly purchased Bloomfield Hills residence requested converting an area that was previously used as a train room, into a medieval inspired pub. The cabinetry, millwork and furniture was milled from solid White Oak lumber, distressed and caroused in a rubbed lacquer to create this authentic old world finish. Heavy gothic profiles and details were incorporated into the half round front bar and rear bar with back lit bottle display encased in iron gates. The pub also features extensive wall paneling with lighted frames displaying leaded glass panels, a motorized large screen TV lift concealed in the lower cabinetry, a built in upholstered banquet and freestanding pews for seating. This 215 acre private horse breeding and training facility can house up to 70 horses. Equine Facility Design began the site design when the land was purchased in 2001 and has managed the design team through construction which completed in 2009. Equine Facility Design developed the site layout of roads, parking, building areas, pastures, paddocks, trails, outdoor arena, Grand Prix jump field, pond, and site features. The structures include a 125’ x 250’ indoor steel riding arena building design with an attached viewing room, storage, and maintenance area; and multiple horse barn designs, including a 15 stall retirement horse barn, a 22 stall training barn with rehab facilities, a six stall stallion barn with laboratory and breeding room, a 12 stall broodmare barn with 12’ x 24’ stalls that can become 12’ x 12’ stalls at the time of weaning foals. Equine Facility Design also designed the main residence, maintenance and storage buildings, and pasture shelters. Improvements include pasture development, fencing, drainage, signage, entry gates, site lighting, and a compost facility.

When this historic Petoskey home began its life in 1895, its residents couldn't possibly have imagined its future transformation. Only 50 feet from the old train tracks, it started as an apartment building for railroad employees. Throughout the past century, it retained its roots as a multi-family dwelling, but had fallen into despair. In 2013, it was purchased for its great location, charming exterior and its spectacular view of the lake, and recruited J.Cesario Builders to remodel the structure into a single family home. The vision would take almost two years to complete, as the original scope of the project evolved from a partial remodel into a total home transformation.
