A “slouch couch” in every sense of the term, the Walcott Sofa’s unique frame is comprehensively cushioned for all-encompassing comfort. Eight-way hand-tied suspension ensures a quality seat wherever you settle, whether perched on the sofa’s arms, back or seat. Warm caramel-colored 100% top grain leather is stitched with flanged seams along the edges, helping to balance its voluminous appearance. And when you have a piece as distinct as this, it’s only fitting to accessorize with other conversation-starting accents.

We transformed a mid-terrace Victorian bathroom into a luxurious retreat by completely redesigning the floor plan. The highlight is a stunning freestanding boat bath that serves as the centrepiece, complemented by a custom-made vanity for added storage. We mixed marble tiles in brick and herringbone formats for extra interest. This design blends traditional charm with contemporary features.

InsideOut Underdecking is made from an exceptionally durable titanium-aluminum alloy which makes it far more resilient than the vinyl under deck drain system products many other companies offer.

While much of the ground floor houses utility areas for the home, the main entrance, acts as a reliquary of the barn that once was. Franklin discovered the pot-belly stove in pieces buried around the property. While they were covered in mud, Franklin refurbished each part and reassembled the stove for a handsome reminder of the home's history. The triptych above the console table appropriately displays original drawings and schematics of the farmland.
Sun-dried terra-cotta tiles, imported from Mexico, imbue the space with a warm hand-made quality, setting the stage for other materials throughout the home.

Ipe decking, Earthworks EW Gold Stone decking, and exposed aggregate concrete create a beautiful contrast and balance that give this outdoor architecture design a Frank Lloyd Wright feel. Ipe decking is one of the finest quality wood materials for luxury outdoor projects. The exotic wood originates from South America. This environment contains a fire pit, with cobblestone laid underneath. Shallow, regress lighting is underneath each step and the fire feature to illuminate the elevation change. The bench seating is fabricated stone that was honed to a beautiful finish. This project also features an outdoor kitchen to cater to family or guests and create a total outdoor living experience.

This renovation retains the residence’s best qualities–the ample daylight, the exposed structure, the high quality craftsmanship, the clean and reserved material palette, and the understanding of how materials come together.

Although the couple expected to run into the usual issues of renovation, they soon learned that the house was in worse shape than they thought. While they had planned on some cosmetic changes and utility updates, it was soon apparent that the amount of neglect had taken a tole on the home. "We knew we would be living through some level of chaos," Catherine explains, "but didn't expect ti to be nearly as bad as it was, which was a complete gut-job of the entire house!"
Once the paneling and carpet were removed, and drop-ceiling dismantled, the special qualities of the house began to reveal themselves. Starting with a clean slate allowed the Williamsons to create the space as they wanted it to be. In order to allow more light to pass through the downstairs, Bryan created pass-throughs from the living room to the dining room. "We didn't want to take down the entire wall because we wanted to keep as much of the original layout as possible, so this was a good compromise," says Catherine. Having the open volume between rooms has also proven very beneficial for larger gatherings as well, as guests may converse more easily from room to room.
