1916 Craftsman located in Queen Anne Seattle. Project scope included lighting and furnishings for front porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, sitting area, primary suite, bedroom, baby nursery and home office.

When we first met, this classic 1900 home in Queen Anne was suffering from an unfortunate 1980’s remodel. The owner was interested in recapturing some of the historical charm with a modern sensibility, while celebrating the breath-taking views of Puget Sound and the Space Needle. Custom details included woven blackened steel infill panels in the white oak cabinets, bookmatched marble back-splashes and countertops, bespoke brass and walnut light fixtures, and a hand-troweled venetian plaster hood surround. The kitchen was equipped with top-notch appliances for this accomplished home cook, and ample storage was provided for gadgetry and food-stuffs.

Inspiration for a transitional bedroom remodel in Boston

We used Benjamin Moore, Gossamer Blue #2123-40 for the living room walls and Benjamin Moore Ocean Air #2123-50 for the living room ceiling. A refurbished Queen Anne needed privacy from a busy street corner while not feeling like it was behind a privacy hedge. A mixed use of evergreen trees and shrubs, deciduous plants and perennials give a warm cottage feel while creating the privacy the garden needed from the street.
