Located in Hansville's WA., this waterfront home's kitchen was designed in the Craftsman Style to go with the Northwest architecture of the home. The cabinets are from DeWil's Custom Cabinetry, made from Quarter-sawn White Oak in a 111 Cherry stain makes the cabinets seem more like furniture than kitchen cabinets. Many of my client's antique furniture pieces were also were made from Quarter-sawn Oak which added the overall warmth and charm. Keeping to the same cabinet footprint so we could save the existing hardwood flooring, we were able to rearrange some of the cabinets making the space more functional. The decorative tiled Stone Impression's mural behind the cook top adds to the Arts and Craft charm. The travertine field tile and glass and stone mosaic coordinates well with the decorative mural. We also address the lighting the room by adding LED up light on top of the upper cabinet , under cabinet LED lighting and LED puck lights in the glass cabinet. Two of the can lights above the peninsula were retrofitted with Tech Lighting pendants using their FreeJack Recessed Can Adapter.

The Coy Land Techs team installed a random pattern 5 size paver patio, irrigation to pots, new pots and plants, decorative rocks, along with modern wood fencing to create a clean modern design in another Orange County home.

Kitchen renovation transformed an outdated disjointed kitchen into an environment that is warm, spacious, efficient, and inviting. The new layout provides additional storage space as well as prep/entertaining space. A harmonious contrast to the finish of the cabinetry was provided by a dark Hanstone quartz countertop with varying shades of gray, gold, black and red and a Noce travertine backsplash with randomly placed glass tiles in dark gray, taupe, tan and red was the perfect compliment. The light fixtures and cabinet hardware in oil rubbed bronze accentuate the darker hues in the quartz countertops and the glass inserts in the travertine tiled backsplash.

article Movement: Active Design and Calm Tones A rectangular rug with an abstract composition of elements in the form of white strokes and blue dots on a gray background. The collection was inspired by the winter season: the pattern in cold colors resembles falling snow and the skaters’ strokes on ice. The arrangement of forms is random and gives an impression of movement, while the pattern is enclosed within the boundaries of a wide gray-blue edging. This hand-knotted rug in calm colors with tiny accents of cool red will perfectly suit for high-tech interiors. There is also an alternative color solution with ochre-gold mounting for light and warm interiors. Knotting Traditions of Nepal The density is 100 knots per inch, color range includes 6 tones of blue, gray and pink, 5:1 New Zealand wool and silk.

Nestled amid the mountain ridges of Colorado, the Gold Run Circle residence stands apart from other mountain homes due to its unique material palette including weathered steel panels fabricated by MetalTech-USA. Installed by Pinnacle Mountain Homes of Breckenridge, Colorado, the majority of the home’s façade was clad with beetle kill spruce paired with weathered steel panels to achieve a modern, yet rustic look that both the designer and homeowner desired. The 5,800 square foot residence contains 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 4,050 square feet of living space. Bill Aldridge, owner of Aldridge Design Services, was tasked as the lead designer for the residence. In terms of the façade, Aldridge was to provide a design that allowed the home to blend in with nearby mountain residences while also portraying unique qualities. This was accomplished through the building form and use of materials. The weathering steel was chosen not only for the intrinsic beauty provided in all seasons but also its durability in extreme climates. “I knew [the metal panels] could protect against the harsh climate that is the Colorado Mountains, without any need for maintenance or refinishing and the patina it’s receiving from the climate is only increasing its beauty,” says Aldridge. Gold Run residence is clad in 900 square feet of MetalTech-USA’s 22 Gauge Weathering Steel Flatlock Panels. The 18”x24” Rectangular Flatlocks form a grid like pattern covering the facade of the office and along the base of the home. “After researching many different options for the weathering steel façade on this project, we selected the Flatlock Tile from MetalTech-USA,” says Brian Broomall, Project Manager of Pinnacle Mountain Homes. “The concealed fastening system and custom sizing made for a façade that was easy to install and looks great.” The unique feature of Gold Run Circle is the home office that extends from the house. With the grid of flatlock panels being offset by random sized and placed windows, Gold Run Circle transitions from a mountain home to a rustic contemporary getaway unlike no other. “I honestly think metal can add such a unique feel and color to any project, and compliment any other material, with a uniqueness that can’t be matched,” says Aldridge. “In this project, the office could never have been pulled off with any other material.”

Aesthetically the greatest impact as you enter the room is provided by the stunning Sucapria Brown Granite Countertops with its spactacular veining of rust, brown, taupe and green. The granite compliments the Cinnamon stain of the cabinets and the contemporary Nambucca slate random waterfall tile backsplash in shades of rust, grey, yellow and rust glass, and earthy copper tones. This open concept kitchen/great room allows for a beautiful entertaining space that fits the homeowner's style.
