This tiny bathroom got a facelift and more room by removing a closet on the other side of the wall. What used to be just a sink and toilet became a 3/4 bath with a full walk in shower!

My client wanted bold colors and a room that fueled her children’s creativity. We transformed the old storage space underneath the staircase into a playhouse by simply adding a door and tiny windows. On one side of the staircase I added a blackboard and on the other side the wall was covered in a laminate wood flooring to add texture completing the look of the playhouse. A custom designed writing desk with seating to accommodate both children for their art and homework assignments. The entire area is designed for playing, imagining and creating. Foundation Design
Design ideas for a contemporary landscaping in Los Angeles.

This large curved 2 level deck was built in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The flooring is Ipe hardwood that was screwed down and plugged. The plugs were then sanded flush with the floor so there were no visible fasteners. We used over 8000 plugs on the deck! The railing is a custom railing by Deck Pros. Most of the components are from the Azek railing system while the top rail and sub-rail are Ipe hardwood. It took many hours in our shop to bend the rail and attach the Ipe top rail. Low voltage LED light caps and stair lights provide illumination at night. The customer plans to add a pergola to the high 6x6 rail posts.

The transformation from a registered landslide hillside to a stunning garden oasis, is truly breathtaking. The pool was updated and the Corten steel arbor cleverly cantilevered on this 5 acre property. Using a crib wall system (Slope Block) allowed us to create lush terraces from toe to top - garden pathways lined with boulders create the illusion they were always there. The Slope Block was acid stained and planted so they eye can see just a hint of the bones through the lush California and Australian native plants and trees.
