We juxtaposed bold colors and contemporary furnishings with the early twentieth-century interior architecture for this four-level Pacific Heights Edwardian. The home's showpiece is the living room, where the walls received a rich coat of blackened teal blue paint with a high gloss finish, while the high ceiling is painted off-white with violet undertones. Against this dramatic backdrop, we placed a streamlined sofa upholstered in an opulent navy velour and companioned it with a pair of modern lounge chairs covered in raspberry mohair. An artisanal wool and silk rug in indigo, wine, and smoke ties the space together.

This laundry room was updated with Medallion Lancaster MDF Cabinets with Painted Gale finish with Top Knobs Hillmond pulls in brushed satin nickel. The countertop is Wilsonart Green Tigris laminate in matte finish. Moen Medina Spot Resist Stainless pull out faucet, Blanco Liven Silgranite laundry sink in Truffle color.

We discovered this wine barrel and table top at Round Top Antiques Fair in Texas and fell in love with their weathered charm and sense of history. We encircled the table with a banquette, upholstered in a modern, truffle-colored print with faux leather seats. The faux color-wash finish on the walls adds character and interest.

A pantry was removed and doorway relocated to provide a longer wall to house a 48" Wolf range and faux-finished hood. An expansive L-shaped island provides plenty of counter space for prepping meals as well as additional seating for 3.
