Every detail meticulously designed in this modern-transitional kitchen design. This beautiful Eugene, Oregon tour home features our premium European Oak hardwood flooring designed with subtle light gray yet neutral color tones. This floor is engineered for stability to allow wide 8-5/8" planks with long lengths without seasonal movement.

Custom ordered 22 linear foot art bar top for a clients new craftsman home. Built in SC, personally delivered to MA. This bartop was inspired by the Pemigewasset River in N where the customer vacations frequently. It is made from walnut live edge wood slabs, real stones, color pigments, and epoxy resin. There are 60 stones in this bartop that they sent me that are coated in a UV reactive pigment so they can find them with a UV LED I provided them. This bartop also has remote controlled, multi-color LED's underneath that illuminate the river under the rocks.

Dancer Concrete Design was contacted to find the best way to deliver a finished concrete floor in such a different type of space. The home’s design is of two intersecting circles that make up the garage and main living space. A basement sits below half of the structure while a structural concrete pad supports the other half circle. The floor finishing would take place in the living room, dinning room, and into the kitchen. For this project the owners were fully occupying the space. Of course this process aesthetically enhances the space, but we have also found it to increase the durability of our floors. After mechanically removing the grout we move to additional polishing steps and our two-step sealing process of densification and stain guard. Densifying is a reactive penetrating sealer that makes the concrete even stronger and resistant to scratches, stains and other contaminants. The homeowner selected a natural concrete finish – no added stains or dyes – and the final day, the team polished the floor to the desired finish, a level one, 400-grit shine.

By day two we were ready to apply the reactive stain. The homeowners selected a combination of Cola, Coffee Brown and Black. This combo created a lot of movement and warmth to the floor. A unique aspect to this particular job was cutting a tile pattern into the concrete floor. This creates the look of tile with the longevity and durability of a concrete floor. The tile pattern was cut along with a 10″ border around the room. The cuts were only 1/16″ deep since it took place after staining. The final polish brought the floor up to a level one, 400-grit shine.

Golden hour here at this 1940’s colonial that has been beautifully reimagined by its clever homeowners. Our design team sought to immerse this bold assertive structure in a native grasses heavy design featuring many coastal plain plants indigenous to this region. Animating, texturing and foregrounding with color and movement, this reactivated landscape looks like no other on this traditionally manicured, lawn-heavy street. Seedheads and silhouettes will continue to offer structure and interest through winter while rewarding non-migratory birds and wildlife with essential shelter and sustenance.
