This kitchen was inspired by a french countryside cottage. We used traditional design elements, warm worn finishes, along with french industrial lighting fixtures to bring a magical element to this space. The client wanted to reveal this jewel like quality while eking out a little more people space. The challenge was in retaining the existing trees and large broadleaf evergreens while significantly re-organizing the grades in a design concept that established a strong relationship between the house and garden. A real lack of light was a challenge for growing. Green became a colour of many faces, amplified by contrasting textures and rays of sun through branches. A thoughtful eye and a smart pruning program is required for the ongoing maintenance of this garden. The reward is literally breathtaking - a magical place where the line between worlds is blurred.

The classic appeal of traditional shingle style architecture is, in my professional opinion, one of America's greatest architectural contributions. While we will always stare in wonderment at the architectural mastery of the architecture that grew out of the European Renaissance, those masters of ornamental architecture can never take claim to the American hampton style home. The real magic of the shingle style home is that it bears its roots in the american barn. While the barn style is fundamentally a product of its function, there are those few architects who will continually challenge themselves take it once step further by interpolating the unique gambrel roof lines of the American barn and combine it with elegant architectural details of today high- end home to create a habitable sculpture. Without some semblance of historic precedence, we can never truly achieve architectural enlightenment , as that requires not just elegant design details, but a touch or nostalgia to lift the spirit.

It features a covered bar area, 42" grill, pizza oven, ice maker, two tap kegerator, fridge, mason drawer, stone countertops, real stone veneer, and a sink.

Kirsten Gordon of Bloom Magic Weddings interprets anemones with a modern twist. "This is paying homage to my little girl lunches with Mommy at Neiman Marcus, where they always had interesting displays, we called it 'the flower museum.'" Blush anemones from Kennicott's - Northbrook IL, sourced from a grower in Canada in June 2019. Scabiosa sourced from Northbrook farmers' market Twin Gardens Farm. Glass vase rectangular with high sides. Sea shell chips from craft store or your travels, in the bottom as "soil" - fill water level half way - 2 inches deep water and 4 inches deep shell chips. Use chopsticks or long 18" wood floral sticks to assist in positioning the blooms. Works best to make a hole for the flower with sticks, place the flower, then remove sticks carefully, so you do not break, shred or crush the stem. Top dress with craft store pearls (or real if you have - these are loose ones from old jewelry) and add more water to just barely fill. Need to check daily for more water. In this Denver project, we transformed the front garden by integrating natural stone walls, a vibrant floral palette featuring lavender and yellow flowers, and a stamped concrete patio designed for relaxation. But the real magic happens after sunset ?. Our strategic lighting highlights every detail, from the steps to the majestic flowering tree, creating a welcoming and secure atmosphere.

The Randolph flip is another successful project by an energetic client always looking to fix up a very uncared home and flip it to a lucky buyer. The end result is a very open clean house with many beautiful features. THis home had been neglected for years starting on the outside with very overgrown landscaping making it a very unfriendly looking home nobody would want to approach. We cleaned up the yard gave it some new bright siding. But the real magic happened on the inside by opening up the living room, kitchen and dining area creating a welcome and entertaining amenable space. We relocated the kitchen to give it a better flow and allowing for the kitchen to enlarge in size. Created a more friendly family room by refacing the fireplace in stone and giving everything a fresh look. Upstairs we expanded the master bedroom and gave it a beautiful master bathroom.
