We designed the grain pattern to have just a hint of rustic, but it is still clean enough that you can convincingly use it in a modern setting. REDEFINING DURABILITY The most important specification for determining the durability of vinyl flooring is the thickness of the wear-layer. The best wear-layers are made of thick, clear virgin PVC, which covers the paper print-film that gives the floor its unique appearance. Once the wear-layer wears through, the paper is damaged and the floor will need replacement. Most vinyl floors come with a 8-12 mil wear-layer (0.2-3 mm). The top commercial specs in the industry are higher, at 20-22 mil (0.5 mm). A select few manufacturers offer a ?super? commercial spec of 28 mil (0.7 mm). For Modin, we decided to set a new standard: 40 mil (1.0 mm) of premium virgin PVC. This allows us to offer an industry-leading 20 year Commercial Warranty (Lifetime Residential), compared to nearly all other commercial vinyl floors? 10 year Commercial Warranty. Beyond our superior wear-layer, we also use a patented click mechanism for superior hold, and a ceramic-bead coating. SIZE MATTERS Wider and longer planks create a sense of space and luxury. Most vinyl floors come in 6? or 7? widths, and 36? or 48? lengths. For Modin, we designed our planks to be 9? wide, and 60? long. This extra large size allows our gorgeous designs to be fully expressed. DETAILS THAT COUNT We made sure to get all the details right. Real texture, to create the feel of wire-brushed wood. Low sheen level, to ensure a natural look that wears well over time. 4-sided bevels, to more accurately emulate the look of real planks. When added together they help create the unique look that is Modin. DESIGNS THAT INSPIRE We spent nearly a year just focusing on our designs, to ensure they provide the right mix of color and depth. Focusing on timeless wire-brush and European Oak styles, as well as more contemporary modern washes, our collection offers truly beautiful design that is both functional and inspiring.

The clients shared with us an inspiration picture of a white marble bathroom with clean lines and elegant feel. Their current master bathroom was far from elegant. With a somewhat limited budget, the goal was to create a walk-in shower, additional storage and elegant feel without having to change much of the footprint. To have the look of a marble bath without the high price tag we used on the floor and walls a durable porcelain tile with a realistic Carrara marble look makes this upscale bathroom a breeze to maintain. It also compliments the real Carrara marble countertop perfectly. A vanity with dual sinks was installed. On each side of the vanity is ample cabinet and drawer storage. This bathroom utilized all the storage space possible, while still having an open feel and flow. This master bath now has clean lines, delicate fixtures and the look of high end materials without the high end price-tag. The result is an elegant bathroom that they enjoy spending time and relaxing in.

This family loves classic mid century design. We listened, and brought balance. Throughout the design, we conversed about a solution to the existing fireplace. Over time, we realized there was no solution needed. It is perfect as it is. It is quirky and fun, just like the owners. It is a conversation piece. We added rich color and texture in an adjoining room to balance the strength of the stone hearth . Purples, blues and greens find their way throughout the home adding cheer and whimsy. Beautifully sourced artwork compliments from the high end to the hand made. Every room has a special touch to reflect the family’s love of art, color and comfort.

Torrington natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill adds depth and dimension to this rustic style garage. Torrington natural stone veneer is a rustic low height ledgestone. The stones showcase a beautiful depth of color within each individual piece which creates stunning visual interest and character on large- and small-scale projects. The pieces range in color from shades of brown, rust, black, deep blue and light grey. The rustic feel of Torrington complements residences such as a Northwoods lake house or a mountain lodge. The smaller pieces of thin stone veneer can be installed with a mortar joint between them or drystacked with a tight fit installation. With a drystack installation, increases in both the mason’s time and waste factor should be figured in.

This exquisite residential outdoor living space highlights the Quarry Mill's Denali natural thin stone veneer. Denali natural stone veneer is a high density sandstone cut into rough rectangles forming the castle rock style. The stone gets its abundance of color from the heavy mineral staining. The mineral staining occurred naturally in the quarry over time as water washed minerals between the individual layers of stone. The colors include blue, light grey, tan and brown. Denali also has a very rugged and unique texture with a mix of dimpled, smooth and wavy pieces. This stone is sold as individual pieces intended to be installed by a professional masonry contractor.
