Expanding Space with Light and Openness with Folding Glass Walls
The installation of NanaWall folding glass walls reimagined the home’s main living area as a continuous flow between the kitchen, dining, and outdoor patio. When fully open, the doors erase the boundary between interior and exterior spaces, creating a single, interconnected space for day-to-day living. Even when closed, the floor-to-ceiling glass panels flood the home with natural light, establishing a bright, uplifting atmosphere that enhances comfort and connection to nature.
A Seamless Connection to the Outdoor Environment
According to the homeowner, “With the folding glass walls, our outdoor space became a true extension of our home. When open, the doors completely remove the barrier between the interior and the outside, allowing the two areas to merge into one continuous, functional space.” The result is a living space that feels larger, more inviting, and perfectly adapted to the rhythms of family life and social gatherings alike.
“One of the most compelling reasons we chose NanaWall was how their doors create a truly open living space between indoors and outdoors. Choosing NanaWall also meant choosing high-quality craftsmanship and design flexibility. Their systems are built to withstand various weather conditions while maintaining energy efficiency, security, and ease of use,” — Homeowner.

Kyles loved his home. He and Jill both saw the potential, but years of living with the inability to bring it to life left Jill frustrated. After viewing my projects on Houzz they called me in to help them. As a young family, they wanted their guest to enter a home that felt complete, warm and welcoming. Additionally, the desire was to have a highly usable space to gather as a family, with friends in a comfortable, worry free environment. For this reason, careful thought was given to the selections to insure they be highly durable and cleanable. Because they live a casual lifestyle they felt the space designed to be a formal dining room would be unused as such. It was decided that converting it to a "music room" to house their piano made more sense. Now the family can entertain with comfort as well as gather to enjoy music, games on the oversized cocktail table or just read in a beautiful quite space. So, working together, we've been able to convert Kyles conundrum to Jills joy!

A lightweight chair, with a metal base and a coloured and transparent shell, it has a strong visual impact due to the ""water waves"" motif that characterizes it. The technopolymer seat features concentric waves similar to those of water, which expand outwards from the centre of the seat.

Unlike the white interior, the exterior is charcoal and meant to look iconic. The wood siding, which is Cypress was custom charred and then installed. In Japan this type of siding is called Shou Sugi Ban, where the charring renders the wood less flammable and with a stable dark finish. Here it was selected for those reasons, for its unique beauty, and to distinguish the home from its neighbors.

This project is full of unique features, and as always lots of variation in textures and materials. The homeowners had just finished complety renovating the inside of this home, and were ready to tackle the outside environment surrounding it. Now the outside is just as gorgeous as the inside!!! We have a two tiered IPE (Brazillian Walnut) deck with a covered pergola over half of the space. Large 10"x10" cedar post & large cedar beams make this not just any........ "PERGOLA". Fans, TV, and lighting make this an area to enjoy all year long. The lower deck features a linear firepit stacked with dual 8' gas burners. Since its an elevated deck railing is important for saftey of their guests, but who wants to obstruct the view of those beautiful sunsets over the pond, so we decided to use custom cable railing to finish the deck space. We then hardscaped along the front of the home layering it into the natural terrain of the property. As you enter the front entrance there is a wonderful piece of artwork that is highlighted in hte space. As if that is not enough we then transformed the north end of the home with a private patio space with "ANOTHER" one of a kind pergola. It is so hard to put all this work into perspective in just photos, but we tried our best. We hope you enjoy the awsome transformation!!! Another reason to ask Fiano Landscapes to transform your world!!!

Area rug cleaning is important for several reasons. We believe maintaining proper care of your rug by regular washing will remove dirt, stains and dust that can build up over time and lay in the foundation of your rug. Regular rug cleaning will help maintain a healthy living environment, preventing dust mites, bacteria and other allergens from living in your rug. At Kaoud Carpet & Rugs in Wilton, all rug washing is performed by hand and on premise. Special attention is given solely to your rug by one of our cleaning team. There are no large tubs of liquids that will merge from other rug cleaning jobs. We use a hand washing technique and are able to closely monitor the washing process step by step. Regular washing will also help maintain the value of your rug.

M-S Pro Architects announce the completion of an indoor swimming pool in a state-of-the-art, single storey family home set in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Bratislava - one of Europe’s youngest capital cities. Kebony, a beautiful wood recommended by leading architects, was chosen to craft the ceiling of the swimming pool, which is designed to emulate rippling waves as well as for the terrace deck and structural beams.
Sustainability and a desire to recreate the close proximity often seen between wood and water in the natural environment were primary focuses in the design of this project. This led a requirement for a low maintenance wood, compatible humidity and with advanced durability, for the swimming pool ceiling. In addition, a high level of precision when cutting the wood was required in order to achieve the desired appearance of waves.
Supplied by Leading Market, Kebony was carefully selected for the pool ceiling, which consists of 490 lamellae of timber, due to its versatility, durability and environmental credentials. Kebony was also installed throughout the exterior of this property, both for the spacious outdoor terrace and the exterior and interior beams. One of the reasons to choose Kebony was the unified look of wood in all these different applications.
Developed in Norway, the patented Kebony technology uses an environmentally friendly process, which permanently enhances the properties of sustainable softwood with a bio-based liquid derived from agricultural crop waste. By polymerising the wood’s cell wall with furfuryl alcohol, the wood gains greatly improved durability and dimensional stability, giving it characteristics similar to those of tropical hardwood. In creating a wood with comparable properties to tropical hardwood that can be grown in a FSC certified, sustainably managed forest, the demand for tropical woods is reduced, allowing timber to once again be an important part of sustainable construction.
Tomáš Hubinský, Lead Architect at M-S Pro, commented: “From conception through to completion, the creation of this ceiling has been a real feat. Despite the challenges faced by such an intricate design, Kebony was the perfect material to convey our desired effect of waves rippling along the ceiling. We will continue to incorporate Kebony into our interior and exterior designs, with wood fast becoming the first choice material for all architects.”
Mette Valen, Sales Manager Norway at Kebony, explained: “The distinctive nature of this design cleverly portrays the capability of Kebony, demonstrating both the aesthetic and performance qualities of the product. We would be honoured to work with M-S Pro in the future and look forward to seeing how they utilise Kebony in their future projects.”

The views from this vacation property really speak for themselves, and so it stands to reason that this client wanted to keep the million-dollar views in-tact. To do so, the entire living space is perched above the garage, somewhat like a grown-up tree house, where scenic glaciers, mountains, and farmland are not obstructed by the home's structure. In fact, the kitchen features oversized windows across the back of the counters, with cabinets only placed down below and on the interior wall to maximize on this view. A vacation home is also the perfect place to add in a little playfulness (as if the idea of a treehouse isn’t fun enough), and the Cameron’s enjoyed collaborating with the owners on the funky bathroom tile design and fixtures. These avid skiers desired a second home that was not only close to the slopes but offered the perfect après ski environment. They also wanted the property to feel just as inviting during the summer months when the only skiing takes place on the water.

In Hawaii, people cry “E ala!” to wake each other. After your first night in Hästens Eala, you may well understand the reasoning behind the choice of names. This is a bed created to make you more alert, more patient – even, dare we say it, friendlier – each moment you are not in it.
It’s the extra layers in Hästens Eala that make for such extraordinary sleep. Layer upon layer upon layer of horsetail hair, wool, cotton and flax are masterly handcrafted to create the optimum environment for restful nights. And even more awakened days.
These natural fibers absorb the moisture your body produces during the night, transporting it away through the sides of the bed. At the same time, fresh air circulates freely around your body. Two spring systems, featuring flax-reinforced corners, complete the comfort experience. The objective behind this meticulous method? To provide every last part of your body with precisely the support it longs for.
