This home sat empty for 15 years, until it became uninhabitable. The new owners inherited it from grandparents, and had us take it down to the foundation, and start from scratch. The spacious-looking interior belies the home’s 800 sq. ft. footprint. With clever straight-through flow, the living room, kitchen, and dining room combine for a relaxed, uncrowded look. A master and second bedroom round out the space. Several clever touches make this a cozy, in-town living space.

Example of a transitional bathroom design in Minneapolis

Last year, Ohio Exteriors was asked to tear down the two story, uninsulated structure on the rear of a house in Canal Winchester, and then rebuild it from the ground up. We installed primed paulownia exterior wood siding on the new structure. Now that the weather has warmed up, we were finally able to go back and paint the entire house. The new look is amazing!

This project is the rebuild of a classic Craftsman bungalow that had been destroyed in a fire. Throughout the design process we balanced the creation of a house that would feel like a true home, to replace the one that had been lost, while managing a budget with challenges from the insurance company, and navigating through a complex approval process. HouseWurks Location: Zionsville, IN, USA I discovered this dilapidated house built in 1880 in downtown Zionsville. A fire left the house beyond repair and I decided to tear it down and rebuild. After much thought and discussion, my original idea to build a cottage style home progressed into a more modern design. The windows allow beautiful natural light into the home and stay tuned as we continue to update this project with interior photos as they become completed.
