The clients own a Spanish style ranch home and the goal was to remove the Spanish elements of the home from the primary suite, as well as give both of their kids' bedrooms a refresh. The primary bathroom received a complete overhaul to add a new freestanding tub and a much larger shower, while each bedroom received a fresh coat of paint, new carpet, and lighting.

This Wyncote, PA home renovation project was a comprehensive transformation that modernized every aspect of the property. The first features floor-to-ceiling wallpaper in a rich taupe with a delicate white botanical branch pattern, creating an immersive, jewel-box feel. A white shaker vanity with dark granite countertop grounds the space, while an arched frameless mirror and brushed gold wall sconce add glamour. A tall gold and glass etagere serves as both decorative storage and a sculptural element, styled with woven baskets, greenery, and stacked accessories. Framed landscape watercolor art adds a serene, organic note, and a freestanding brass toilet paper holder elevates a typically overlooked detail. The second restroom takes an entirely different but equally compelling direction — soft, dusty blue-grey grasscloth-style wallpaper printed with a tone-on-tone chevron leaf stripe wraps every wall, creating a calm, spa-like atmosphere. A weathered wood console provides casual charm beneath a large-scale botanical tulip artwork in sage and cream. The wall-mount sink with exposed plumbing adds an intentional, editorial touch. Transitional design favors modern lighting; the clean lines and unique design contribute more to a space than ornate crystal chandeliers. The freshly refinished white hood doesn’t distract, but rather highlights the geometrical light fixtures. A full-slab marble backsplash and quartzite countertops add elegance without taking from the overall design. Kitchens are all about life and food, so I always add flowers, greenery, and fresh fruit as my pops of design color. The adjacent butler’s pantry also received a facelift. I wanted to maximize efficiency while tying the home into our new transitional design motif. The cabinets received a fresh coat of white paint, and we replaced the counters with quartzite. Added some new cabinet hardware and a large metal pantry door, and voila!

The client's project comprises two cabins joined together by a glass gathering room to enjoy the view as the sun sets over the water. The large house has a covered deck accessed from the living room and kitchen that incites gathering and a connection to nature.
