An open floor plan between the Kitchen, Dining, and Living areas is thoughtfully divided by sliding barn doors, providing both visual and acoustic separation. The rear screened porch and grilling area located off the Kitchen become the focal point for outdoor entertaining and relaxing. Custom cabinetry and millwork throughout are a testament to the talents of the builder, with the project proving how design-build relationships between builder and architect can thrive given similar design mindsets and passions for the craft of homebuilding.

My client wanted a Spa Feel to their space. The sliced pebbles creates a waterfall from the wall down to the shower floor. The wall tiles are clean and simple with warm veining throughout the design.

About three months ago I received a phone call from a couple in Schererville that wanted to redo their master bathroom. We met for a consult , discussed how she wanted the space to feel, and was very excited to take on this project! My client wanted to be involved so I recommended various design options and we went together and sourced decorative items selected for this project...tiles/ light fixtures/ mirrors/ hardware/ cabinets/ granite/ wall color/vessel sinks/ heated floors/ anything decorative. I hired Mike, sales project manager from Kusiak Construction to handle the demolition and rebuild of this project. It took about 3 months to complete once we selected all the decorative items. My clients were a dream to work with...I am honored to have been able to work with such a great couple and the outcome was super! Enjoy the before and after photos!

Our homeowner had dreamt about one day redoing her beyond outdated kitchen since they day her husband carried her over the threshold. Vinyl flooring used for a backsplash, dingy carpeting, laminate with no sheen left to speak of and mismatched cabinetry…. it was time to make it happen. A year’s worth of planning later, her time capsule became one dreamy kitchen. Functionality reigns supreme in this small, but efficient kitchen where every cabinet has a story to tell and a place to store it. Countertop space to the right of the stove was an added necessity for function and safety. The raised snack bar is perfect for day to day meals and the lowered countertop was a must for this petite baker. A new lighting plan includes recessed lights, under-cabinet and accent lights, while new lighting fixtures reflect the client’s sense of style. Dingy brick patterned carpet was removed making way for new hardwood floors toothed in from the dining room. An airy palette gained some weight with the use of larger details; the oversized hood, beefy turned posts, prominent apron front sink and a grouping of tall cabinets on the refrigerator wall.
