Our clients were referred to us though friends, who we had recently worked for. Even though this home was built in the 1990s, the owners asked if we could use James Hardie products and finish their home in the style of others nearby . This is the Martin Luther King Historic District and many of the homes were built in the late 1800s. This is a smooth HardiePlank with the 5 1/2" height and a 4" exposure.

Our clients had been looking for property on Crooked Lake for years and years. In their search, the stumbled upon a beautiful parcel with a fantastic, elevated view of basically the entire lake. Once they had the location, they found a builder to work with and that was Harbor View Custom Builders. From their they were referred to us for their design needs. It was our pleasure to help our client design a beautiful, two story vacation home. They were looking for an architectural style consistent with Northern Michigan cottages, but they also wanted a contemporary flare. The finished product is just over 3,800 s.f and includes three bedrooms, a bunk room, 4 bathrooms, home bar, three fireplaces and a finished bonus room over the garage complete with a bathroom and sleeping accommodations.

The Building History: At the southeast corner of East State Street and South Main Street in Doylestown is Lenape Hall One of the most distinctive buildings in Doylestown, the building was designed by architects Addison Hutton & Thomas Cernea and dedicated November 17th 1874. It originally provided Doylestown with a large town hall for public meetings, a concentrated store area and a much-needed indoor market. In the early 20th century, the Strand Theater showed movies here until the building of the New Strand Theater, in 1925.
