A farmhouse coastal styled home located in the charming neighborhood of Pflugerville. We merged our client's love of the beach with rustic elements which represent their Texas lifestyle. The result is a laid-back interior adorned with distressed woods, light sea blues, and beach-themed decor. We kept the furnishings tailored and contemporary with some heavier case goods- showcasing a touch of traditional. Our design even includes a separate hangout space for the teenagers and a cozy media for everyone to enjoy! The overall design is chic yet welcoming, perfect for this energetic young family.

A bright, vibrant, rustic, and minimalist interior is showcased throughout this one-of-a-kind 3D home. We opted for reds, oranges, bold patterns, natural textiles, and ample greenery throughout. The goal was to represent the energetic and rustic tones of El Salvador, since that is where the first village will be printed. We love the way the design turned out as well as how we were able to utilize the style, color palette, and materials of the El Salvadoran region!
Designed by Sara Barney’s BANDD DESIGN, who are based in Austin, Texas and serving throughout Round Rock, Lake Travis, West Lake Hills, and Tarrytown.

This two-story West Ashley home was built with many traditional features like closed spaces, wood paneled-walls, brick fireplaces and dark wood kitchen cabinets, which are all representative of the year it was built. But, it was time to give the new homeowners a space they would enjoy for years to come. The den makeover included removing pocket doors and walls to open up the adjoining rooms. We also wall-mounted the TV, installed canned lights and drywalled the ceiling – removing the dated popcorn – for a more updated look.
The biggest transformation was the new view from the den to the kitchen, which received a facelift of its own. With a little interior design help, the kitchen became a beautiful and elegant space equipped with a new kitchen island with granite, white subway tiles for backsplash between the white cabinets and stainless steel appliances. The hanging pendants also added a nice touch.
Our favorite feature is the new Butler’s prep area, which has plenty of prep space (and a sink), open shelves, great light from the kitchen window and unique penny rounds in an Ash color for a counter-to-ceiling glamorous look. We love this kitchen transformation!

The site descends from the street and is privileged with dynamic natural views toward a creek below and beyond. To incorporate the existing landscape into the daily life of the residents, the house steps down to the natural topography. A continuous and jogging retaining wall from outside to inside embeds the structure below natural grade at the front with flush transitions at its rear facade. All indoor spaces open up to a central courtyard which terraces down to the tree canopy, creating a readily visible and occupiable transitional space between man-made and nature.
The courtyard scheme is simplified by two wings representing common and private zones - connected by a glass dining “bridge." This transparent volume also visually connects the front yard to the courtyard, clearing for the prospect view, while maintaining a subdued street presence. The staircase acts as a vertical “knuckle,” mediating shifting wing angles while contrasting the predominant horizontality of the house.
Crips materiality and detailing, deep roof overhangs, and the one-and-half story wall at the rear further enhance the connection between outdoors and indoors, providing nuanced natural lighting throughout and a meaningful framed procession through the property.

These clients are Disney FANATICS and desired a whimsical play space for their two young children. We wanted to give them all the whimsy they desired with a subtle Disney undertone. A hidden theme in each element to the design is derived from different Disney movies. For example, seven drawers under the window seat for the “Seven Dwarfs”, scalloped removable wallpaper behind the TV to represent “The Little Mermaid” fish scales, whimsical umbrellas on the custom storage unit are straight replicas of the “Mary Poppins” prop, a bold hair on hide to call to “The Lion King”, a small sofa that converts to a twin bed perfect for “Sleeping Beauty”. The hidden messages throughout the space lead to a unique design and story that the clients were enthralled to play along with!

Light sources were tested to ensure color uniformity between MR16s, CFLs and LEDs. Indirect medium-output LED strips and CFLs provide general lighting with LED light panels providing under cabinet light, and task and indirect lighting from the custom range hood, partly designed by the Studio Lux.

Here is a newly completed project I've been working on. My charge was to make functional spaces in a basement that included a bar, TV space, game space, office space and music room. The client was sharing some photos he'd taken in subways in NYC, Chicago and London, among others. These exciting images of his stimulated an idea: What if we used the subway as a motif for the entire basement project? This concept was enthusiastically endorsed. Months later, here are the results of this creative challenge.

Curva: the beauty within the curve Each Wall Coverings represents a reimagining of the natural world that highlights the beauty of the positive and negative space. Light and shadow play against the natural tonalities of the wood. Rich, distinct surface treatments capture the attention, and all come together brilliantly to create the very shape of luxury and elegance to come.

This project had some special meaning to the home owner. She is a 2 time cancer survivor who won the toughest battle of her life in regaining custody of her daughter. Her experiences taught her the importance of cherishing the moments and living life to the fullest.
This Nautical themed kitchen adorns a home that overlooks the Western Coast line of San Francisco. Customer Navy Blue cabinets represent the deep that lies just beyond the back yard while the Marble Starburst mosaic backsplash explodes with contrast. Simple and timeless subway tile wrap the perimeter of the kitchen...and how about those brass handles?! Enjoy the view of waves crashing when looking out the window from the farm style sink. Although the drastic change of colors and styles gave new life to this kitchen; the vintage mixer and bistro table made of re-purposed wood pay homage to things of the past.
