The incredibly intricacy and effortless balance of this 140-year-old Serapi carpet provides the ideal note of refinement upon which this elegant Texas library is based. Its warm, time-softened colors resonate to best effect in the subdued lamplight, where they beautifully complement the handcrafted wooden paneling and bookshelves.
