Welcome to the first town in the first state! Strolling thru downtown Lewes, DE you’ll find a little slice of “paradiso”. In designing this whimsical eatery, my inspiration came from artworks by the talented JANET HILL. I then re-worked the juice/prep bar for a more functional workspace and added storage with built in bench seating. Diagonally laid luxury LVT floor, tropical wall tiles and commercial vinyl wallpaper provided texture & durability to this space. I also added a slew of recessed lighting and gorgeous new basket chandeliers to the dining room. Both bathrooms received a facelift of botanical bliss, zellige tiles and champagne fixtures!

Inspired by the charm and unhurried rhythm of the French countryside, this commercial restaurant project in Kazakhstan brings the essence of Provence to an urban setting. Rachelle Design Lab focused on creating a light-filled, airy atmosphere that invites guests to relax and linger.
Key Design Features:
Spatial Planning: The layout features diverse seating zones, from cozy booth arrangements along the panoramic windows to dynamic center tables, ensuring a comfortable experience for both large groups and intimate dining.
Texture & Palette: The design relies on a fresh, authentic palette: white-washed wood cladding on structural columns and the bar counter, paired with soft French-blue seating and natural oak tables.
Atmospheric Details: Lush biophilic elements seamlessly divide the space, while thematic decor—including vintage-style posters, decorative wall plates, and lavender accents—completes the Mediterranean narrative.
The result is a highly functional commercial space that successfully marries operational efficiency with a warm, romantic aesthetic.

The deep and narrow space became segmented by functional screens made up of repurposed scaffolding, designed to display the fresh ingredients used in the kitchen. With a total of 280 miles of protective sidewalk scaffolding in front of close to 8,000 buildings in New York City, the otherwise industrial material has become synonymous with the identity and architectural experience of the city. Based on the client’s unlimited need for storage, the repurposed scaffold displays help give prominence to the duality of a brand made up of New York City and fresh ingredients.

This expansive two story wine cellar was created by Architectural Plastics for the award winning Enoteca Nostrana Restaurant. A steel structure houses sixteen acrylic wine racks that are each lit with LED strip lights.
