About Us

SLC Interiors was founded by Susanne Lichten Csongor and offers our clients elite Interior Design services with exquisite taste in the most discerning spaces. Susanne Lichten Csongor, founder of SLC Interiors, Inc. has over twenty years of extensive experience in high end residential design. The firm’s residential practice includes a private family compound in Nantucket featuring a spa, tennis and an equestrian facility, residences at The Setai Hotel overlooking Miami Beach and a Pied a Terre overlooking Boston’s Public Garden. Susanne holds a Master of Science Degree in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts. During her studies, Susanne was a Teacher Assistant to Dr. Arnold Friedman founder of the program and former director of Pratt Institutes Interior Design Program. Studies abroad include Decorative Art and Architecture in Paris with Parsons School of Art and Design. Susanne has also taught Color Theory and Interior Design through the Adjunct Program at New England School of Art and Design.

I have worked with SLC on numerous projects over the last 10 years. Susanne and her team are fantastic teammates in our world of custom home building. Their sense of style is easily adaptable through many levels of design. Whether it be traditional, transitional, modern or a hybrid of all three, they have the ability to work with the client to give them the outcome they desire. For us as custom builders they are a great teammate. They work very hard to keep the owner on task and on schedule so that we receive the product we need in a timely manner. Arteriors Designer Finishes

Diane Murphy of SLC Interiors has hired us for several projects and we have great admiration for the company's professionalism and dedication to aesthetics. They are a pleasure to work with and I love the creative projects that we have done for them. One project in particular was to paint a fireplace with a beautiful richly veined faux marble in deep tones of burnt umber and creamy whites. The room was in luxury condo in Back Bay for a young bachelor and the deep tones of dark Teal Blue on the walls with the brown marble fireplace was stunning.

Design is a collaborative process, and as an architect, I have never experienced a more fertile creative atmosphere than when I worked with SLC. There was always a lively dialogue with all parties contributing and embellishing ideas, gathered together around a table sketching. SLC subtley guided the conversation, keeping us on track to achieve the client's goals. SLC exhibits the rare ability to listen and to provide superb service to their clients, to create unique and stylish spaces, and to make the entire endeavor great fun. Suzanne Csonger's taste is impeccable, her manner gracious and witty. SLC was an absolute delight to work with.
