Built in 1998, the 2,800 sq ft house was lacking the charm and amenities that the location justified. The idea was to give it a "Hawaiiana" plantation feel.
Exterior renovations include staining the tile roof and exposing the rafters by removing the stucco soffits and adding brackets.
Smooth stucco combined with wood siding, expanded rear Lanais, a sweeping spiral staircase, detailed columns, balustrade, all new doors, windows and shutters help achieve the desired effect.
On the pool level, reclaiming crawl space added 317 sq ft. for an additional bedroom suite, and a new pool bathroom was added.
On the main level vaulted ceilings opened up the great room, kitchen, and master suite. Two small bedrooms were combined into a fourth suite and an office was added. Traditional built-in cabinetry and moldings complete the look.

What once was a 1980's time capsule, is now beautiful lakefront living with a glam vibe. A complete renovation including the kitchen, all three bathrooms and adding a custom bar room. However, we didn't stop there! Custom designed interiors throughout the entire home, makes this residence a comfortable and chic place to live.
Finding inspiration from their lake view, we incorporated that element throughout the home. A tasteful white and blue palette mixed with metals and lovely textures. Bold geometrics paired subtle feminine curves, all while keeping durability and everyday living in mind.

**Project Overview**
This new custom home reflects the owners' personalities in every detail throughout the space. The style is traditional with a twist, as more modern updates bring a freshness to the aesthetic. In the light-filled master bath, this unique look and feel is on full display.
**What Makes This Project Unique?**
As with other built-in pieces throughout the home, a floating vanity and makeup area have a furniture quality that imparts warmth to the bath. The owners' favorite color, blue, creates a backdrop for simple, white painted cabinetry and an expansive mirror that reflects as much light as possible. Above the mirror, transom windows let light flow into the space while maintaining privacy. Floating shelves are a beautiful solution for linen storage, while an additional niche cabinet holds additional toiletries and other items.
**Design Challenges**
Though the vanity is on a long wall, the seated makeup area in the center limits storage. In addition, the transom window limits what can be done above the counter. We were able creatively add apothecary drawers above the makeup desk to give the client more storage for small cosmetics, as well as a lap drawer. In order to create additional space for linen storage, we created a niche with a cabinet and floating shelves for rolled towels and baskets.

The cabinet above the toilet performs a variety of functions: Its open shelf is sized to perfectly display the vase; the open cubbies are excellent for rolled towels; and the enclosed, mirrored section conceals the extra toilet paper. The bathroom was designed around the clients' antique Japanese vase.

In need of an update, this laundry room received all new cabinets in a muted green on a shaker door with black hardware, crisp white countertops, white subway tile, and slate-look tile floors.
While green can be a bit more bold than many customers wish to venture, its the perfect finish for a small space like a laundry room or mudroom! This dual use space has a stunning amount of storage, counter space and area for hang drying laundry.
The off-white furniture piece vanity in the powder bath is a statement piece offering a small amount of storage with open shelving, perfect for baskets or rolled towels.

Step 6: Creative Storage Solutions: For additional storage I used a midcentury-inspired planter to store rolled towels. Planters are an unexpected alternative to the average storage basket, and this one is waterproof, so it’s a perfect solution for next to the tub.
