Our owners were looking for a garden they could share with their large family. We created multiple seating areas including a firepit set in a gravel circle, surrounded by olive trees. The creamy gravel compliments the stone veneer on the firepit and BBQ. Container plants provide accents.

For the light-bathed room off the hard-working kitchen, Sara began with spellbinding color as inspiration. On the walls she used an earthy, hot-flashing orange, a hue of fruits and flowers, and covered the banquette in brilliant turquoise, a cool pool of complementary color. This was a backyard renovation. There was an existing plastic tub pond with many perennials around it. We took out everything, saved as many perennials as we could and installed a new rubber lined, natural ecosystem pond, stream and waterfall. We redesigned the area and created a couple different seating areas along with a pathway over the stream. Transplanted the perennials and added a few new plants to add interest all year long. This is the feature a couple years after installation. The plants have established and are filling in the spaces. This is the image of the the river with the plants growing in.
