With windows and doors on 3 sides, the kitchen is flooded with amazing light and beautiful breezes. The finishes were selected from a driftwood palate as a nod to the beach one block away, The limestone floor (beyond practical) dares all to find the sand traveling in on kids' feet. This ranch was a complete renovation! We took it down to the studs and redesigned the space for this young family. We opened up the main floor to create a large kitchen with two islands and seating for a crowd and a dining nook that looks out on the beautiful front yard. We created two seating areas, one for TV viewing and one for relaxing in front of the bar area. We added a new mudroom with lots of closed storage cabinets, a pantry with a sliding barn door and a powder room for guests. We raised the ceilings by a foot and added beams for definition of the spaces. We gave the whole home a unified feel using lots of white and grey throughout with pops of orange to keep it fun.

A gallery-like view down the hall of the master suite culminates in a dramatic ledgestone wall serving as the backdrop for a black soaking tub. The tub is from Hydrosystems and is made of a volcanic composite blend with a matte finish. When it comes to craft supplies, it can be a challenge to keep everything well organized. One thing that Chelsea can't get enough of is the wire basket. " I just can't seem to get rid of [them]', she explains. "I have way more than I need at the moment, but I can't bare to part with them because they can be so handy". This very compact bathroom utilizes a pocket door to reduce door conflict. The farmhouse sink is directly opposite the toilet. There are high upper windows to allow light to come in, but keep the privacy! Notice the doors to the left of the opening...every nook and cranny was used for storage!
