JAC 140 - Twilight in Space by Jon Allen The Jon Allen Collection is an exclusive, hand-selected group of my most personal work to date. Each piece is hand-painted on aluminum. My art itself and my chosen medium, aluminum, are blissfully married. You may not think of the word organic when you hear the word metal, but this is some of my most organic art and that’s simply because metal allows my work to achieve true sentience. Aluminum’s naturally reflective nature enables each color, shape, and stroke to reach its full potential. A new aspect of the painting will reveal itself to you as it basks in the light that surrounds, evades, or envelops it in that moment. When you see the piece from different angles, you will appreciate how vibrant, dynamic, and environmentally influenced these pieces are. What you may see and feel by morning is not what you’ll see or feel by dusk and in many ways, and as such I feel these pieces capture the ever-ebbing and complex nature of human emotion and perception. Some of these pieces are truly abstract while others are modern takes on traditional landscapes, marine life, and portraits. I hope you enjoy them a fraction of how much I enjoyed creating them. The clients are avid art collectors with great eye for detail. They presented us with a beautiful open space in the middle of the row hose with an over sized sky light directly over the opening. I have always been inspired by the great works of M.C Escher, so I put pencil to paper, or in this case mouse to AutoCad. A few days later, I presented the clients with my ideas and they loved the idea. The results are a single steel stringer floating stairs, with 2" thick maple wood treads, and side mounted clear glass railing. When you sit on the main floor, and look up at the skylight, you see what I sketched.

Although the Kids Bathroom was reduced in size by a few feet to add additional space in the Master Bathroom, you would never suspect it! Because of the new layout and design selections, it now feels even larger than before. We chose light colors for the walls, flooring, cabinetry, and tiles, as well as a large mirror to reflect more light. A custom linen closet with pull-out drawers and frosted glass elevates the design while remaining functional for this family. For a space created to work for a teenage boy, teen girl, and pre-teen girl, we showcase that you don’t need to sacrifice great design for functionality!

New kitchen remodel with appliances, vent hood, quartz countertops, and contrasting custom cabinets. The base cabinets are Rainstorm by Sherwin Williams and the hardware is copper from Alpine Hardware. The pendant lights are copper accented with custom blown shades. We took down the partial wall between the kitchen and living room to open the flow and create an open concept. We expanded the laundry room and created extra storage with gorgeous countertops.
